I don’t get the significance of the scene of course but this is a really beautiful picture. It’s true to the originl anime art but still has its own unique style. Trunks has the sexiest hair of any street bum I’ve ever seen.
My one nitpick is the shadows. They’re on the same side of the two left-most characters as the sun itself. Given that and its low position in the sky the shadows (on the ground, at least) should be flipped the other way and perhaps be a bit longer.
Now, if I wanted to get *really* pedantic I’d say that the building behind Trunks could use a bit of detail — nobody’s going to let that wall-space go to waste! It could help set the tone for what part of town they’re in if there was some graffiti or a flashy billboard lingering back there.
The fundamentals are all there and you’ve certainly got the talent. It’s the minute details that separate good art from great art. And, since I’m worried that I’m coming across as overly critical, let me just say that I only bother giving criticism to things I really like and things I really hate; with the latter it is never constructive. ;-)
