Gohan in the rain
Author’s Note: This has taken me the better part of a month to finish. Since my background is working in acrylic paint originally, I wanted to see if I could mimic that layered feeling with digital or at least use a painterly approach. The idea of Gohan offering Trunks a rose in the rain came after I finished the Trunks in the shower.
Gohan is apologetic in his offering of the rose. You see, he and Trunks had had a fight that morning and Trunks had left without saying where he was going. After cooling down, Gohan has realized that he was wrong and that by hurting Trunks, he’s hurting himself as well. He goes out and buys a single rose in hopes the offering will be like an olive branch to Trunks. He hadn’t expected it to rain, so had gone out without a coat. Meanwhile Trunks comes home, sees Gohan is gone. He decides to make dinner for both of them and hopes that they can discuss their disagreements without yelling. It started raining at this point, so Trunks grabs his raincoat and umbrella and starts walking to the grocery store. It’s on the way there that Gohan and he meet up.

I think it’s truly a great idea. I can really see Gohan going to pick a rose under the rain and waiting for Trunks to return. It’s incredibly sweet and romantic.

Wow… your drawing is beautiful. I loved all the little details in the drawing that makes it really come to life. Great job with the rain.
The idea for the picture is really sweet. Make-up is even sweeter.

Thank you Daisy Girl. I worked hard on it and I’m notorious for spending a long time on the details. (Probably part of the reason it took me over a month with this.)
The make-up will be sweet. Lots of kissing and you know Gohan can’t stay in those wet clothes…

Gohan is such a sweetheart. The water effect looks fantastic. I like how the focus of the pic is Gohan and the rose.
