Trunks squirmed on his bed sheets. His head felt like a hole had been drilled through it, the effects of alcohol they call it, or so Trunks believed.

“Ugh…OooOOoooOooOO…” Trunks cursed inwardly as his head continued to play drums.

Over the past few days, he’d been flying unnoticed into his place of work and picking up some overtime. Playing hookie was fun but he had to get something done. As he glanced over to the desk that the pen and many papers lay on, they seemed to daunt him, reminding him too much of all the overtime that he and Gohan used to do in order to earn expensive nights out. Piccolo had hated that; Gohan being drunk thanks to the aid of Trunks and a little cash persuasion. Now, Trunks was getting drunk alone and it wasn’t nearly as much fun.

Running out because of one stupid comment Goten had made had hardly been the adult way to handle this situation. Trunks felt sickened suddenly. If what Goten had told him was true, then… No, he wasn’t going to believe it. It just couldn’t be true.

“Goten-san, I’ll come home soon, then I can find out why you lied to me. If you wont tell me, Gohan-chan will.” Trunks’s motivation was starting to reform in the pits of his mind, but the only thing on his mind at the time was this massive hangover!

Trunks jumped to a start as his cell phone bleeped in the silence unnerving him. Laughing at his stupidity, he answered the phone, still half laughing.

“Heh heh, heya Gohan-chan! …No, I’m ok…Goten wha!?…Aigh, aigh…SHI NE! You’re joking!? I’ll be right there…right…haigh, ok, see ya..”

Trunks’s mood abruptly altered. Picking up his jacket, he hopped onto the windowsill and leaped out of the window flying at blurring speed towards the Son residency.

Upon arrival, Gohan and Trunks hugged briefly before stepping into the building and sitting themselves down.

“Coffee, Trunks-san?” Chichi urged, waving a mug in front of Trunks's face. Trunks smiled weakly and took the mug from her grasp and tried to behave gratefully.

“Thank you, Chichi-san.” He stuttered nervously. Chichi had the most horrid temper and he definitely wasn’t in the mood for getting in the way of it.

“Now, about Goten?” Trunks nudged Gohan.

“Oh, haigh, well, um, to be blunt, he’s in jail.”

Trunks frowned. “Yes, that part I know, I meant the part about masturbating in public?”

Chichi feinted, hitting the floor with a thud.

“God, Trunk-chan! I didn’t tell her THAT!”

Trunks gulped and flushed brightly. “Uh, sorry Gohan-chan.” Trunks looked extremely guilty and embarrassed, and in Gohan’s mind, rightly so.

Coughing falsely, Gohan laid Chichi on the sofa and met Trunks’s gaze.

“Anyway, to the situation at hand, yes, Goten did, do that, but he was drunk at the time. He’s been acting so strangely lately. Anyway, it doesn’t mater, what matters is that we retrieve him from the pokey, then we all go home, happily ever after.”

Trunks coughed to muffle a cold giggle, earning him an icy look from Gohan.

“I’m really sorry Gohan-chan, I’ll pay for his bail.” Trunks’s eyes held a sincere shine that Gohan had always admired. Smiling softly, Gohan and leaned down and licked Trunks’s lips lightly and laughed quietly. Grinning, Trunks got up and headed for the door, closely followed by Gohan.

Roughly an hour later

“Most of our prisoners spend sunny days like this out on the grounds enjoying a little freedom. There are however, exceptions…”

The prison officer glanced at the warrant officer, then at Goten.

“So officer, what is this particular miscreant doing?”

“Well, this PARTICULAR MISCREANT is doing 5 YEARS, what’re YOU doing!?”
