Kiss From A Rose

After Trunks leaves to go back to the future Gohan realizes he’s in love with him. Seven years later Trunks comes back.

Gohan walked down the hallway and into his room. He sat on his bed and fell back on it, eyes staring up at the ceiling but seeing nothing. His thoughts wandered to the lavender-haired man that had left for his own timeline to destroy that which had ruined his world only a couple weeks before.

Gohan had realized he was in love with Mirai Trunks a few days after his departure. Yep, right about when the hentaï dreams about the mirai boy and himself started occurring. He sighed.

He was eleven.

And he was gay.

Boy, life just didn’t get any better than that.

He was not yet a teenager and already he was thinking of ways for Mirai Trunks to put his “sword” to good use. Oh boy, what interesting mental images that thought stirred in his little hentaï imagination. He smiled as he imagined Trunks coming into his room, climbing on top of him, and kissing him passionately on the lips, his hands roaming to unexplored territory.

The sound of footsteps coming down the hallway broke him away from his thoughts. His brain still in hentaï-mode, he thought that his lavender-haired prince had returned to him at last, but thankfully his logical mind intervened. He checked the ki signature of the mysterious person and swore mildly.

He looked down and realized that his fantasizing had led to a nice sized tent in his pants. He groaned as the footsteps came closer. Fortunately, the logical portion of his brain spoke up again. He rolled over onto his stomach and grabbed the textbook on his nightstand, pretending to study.

“Gohan?” his mother said from the doorway. “Oh, you’re studying! I won’t bother you then. Dinner will be ready in ten minutes, dear.”

“Thanks, Mom,” he said, smiling innocently.

As Chichi made her way downstairs, Gohan let out a sigh of relief. He jumped up from his bed and walked into the bathroom to rid himself of the hard-on that was making his gi pants a wee bit uncomfortable. Since his mom still thought of him as a five-year-old, there was no way that she’d be able to take her little boy having an erection and he’d just die before he told her exactly why he had that erection.

Gohan tousled his younger brother’s hair and kissed his mother on the cheek before he leaped onto the flying nimbus, riding into the city for his first day of high school. As he sat on the small, yellow cloud, his mind drifted to his (wishful thinking) lover. It had been seven years since he had seen the man, seven long years. Even though it had been so long, his love for him only intensified, rather than lessened.

“Everyone, this is Son Gohan. He scored perfectly on all of his entry exams maybe he can teach all of you slackers a thing or two,” the teacher said as Gohan walked into the classroom.

“Oh, he’s a cutie!” Erasa whispered to Videl, giggling.

Videl stared at him. She had to admit, he was quite handsome. Very nice eye candy indeed. Sharpner frowned at the newcomer. How dare he just waltz in here and steal his girls? It was obvious that Erasa already thought he was good looking and he knew Videl well enough to read her eyes. His frown deepened. Yep, she felt the same as her friend.

“Hey! There’s a seat right here!” Erasa said, waving her hand.

Gohan looked at her and smiled. Then, he walked to the seat next to the raven-haired girl with the piercing blue eyes. Her gaze made him uneasy as he sat down. He smiled as nicely as he could and made sure to pay close attention to the teacher to avoid her stare.

The day went by relatively smoothly but he was glad to get back home. He changed into his fighting gi and prepared to train, contemplating the reactions he had gotten from the girls at school. He had been stared at, prodded at, and drooled over more in just those few hours than he had in his entire lifetime. But honestly…

What was so great about his butt?

He was on his way to find his little brother when Chichi stopped him, grinning from ear to ear. Gohan raised an eyebrow.

“Gohan, guess what?!”

“What?”

“Mirai Trunks is back!”

Gohan’s eyes nearly bugged out of his head, and he opened his mouth to say something, but the words died on his lips. Then his eyes rolled into the back of his head as he fell to the floor in a dead faint.

Mirai Trunks smiled meekly as he shook hands with the Z Senshi. Bulma had decided to throw a ‘Welcome Back’ party in his honor and invited the entire Z gang. They were happy to see him and were eager to hear what stories he had to share about his timeline.

“After I defeated the androids and Cell in my time, we started to rebuild the planet, and soon everyone figured out how to live normally,” Mirai Trunks said, running his fingers through his shoulder length hair.

Gohan sat across from him as he talked, staring into his crystal blue eyes, drinking every word that passed from his tantalizingly full lips, and making a conscious effort not to drool. He still hadn't told anyone how much he adored the purple-haired demi Saiya-jin, and he planned to keep it that way until he knew where he stood with Mirai Trunks on the emotional scale.

“Not that I’m not happy to see you but why are you here?” Yamucha asked.

Bulma elbowed him in the side. “Yamucha!” she hissed.

Mirai Trunks smiled as Yamucha nursed his midsection. “It’s okay…uh, Mom. I’m here because the future you figures I need a vacation, and because she wanted me to tell you guys how stuff was going in our time.”

Chibi Trunks walked up to him and stared at him for a moment. Then he frowned. “You stole my face.”

His older counterpart looked taken aback. “Uh…”

“Trunks,” Vegeta began, “he didn’t steal your face, he’s you.”

Chibi Trunks looked confused. “But I’m standing right here. How can he be me?”

“He is you from the future. Remember that guy in the picture we told you about? That’s him.”

“Oh…okay…”

Bulma grinned. “Which reminds me, what are we going to call you? It’s going to be rather confusing to have to call both of you by the same name.”

Mirai Trunks shrugged. “Well…you can call me Mirai, I guess…”

Everyone nodded and agreed to his new nickname. Bulma, Chichi, and Eighteen decided to start on dinner, and the gang was free to do what they wanted. Most of the boys went off to train; the others who chose not to went into the lounge room and watched television.

Gohan gawked as Mirai stood and stretched, accentuating every muscle on his well-built body. He glanced at Gohan, noticed the slightly glazed look in his eyes, and lifted his eyebrow.

“Gohan? Are you okay?” he asked, concern touching his voice.

Gohan shook his head as if to clear it. “Uh…yeah…I’m fine, really.”

“Are you sure? For a second there you looked pretty out of it.”

Gohan smiled and laughed nervously. “Well, I was just thinking, that’s all. So, uh…how’ve you been lately?”

Mirai smiled one of those rare and beautiful smiles he only shows to those close to him. Gohan could have melted. “Fine. You?”

“Uh…” Gohan couldn't speak for a moment. Trunks’s voice just sounded so wonderful to him. He figured he could sit and listen to him talk for hours. Then it dawned on him that Trunks was giving him a strange look.

“Gohan? Are you sure you’re ok?”

Gohan blinked. //Oh Kami, he must think I’m such a dork.// The black-haired teenager smiled again and nodded. “I’m fine, Tru—er, Mirai…”

“You can call me Trunks if you want. My other self isn't around.”

“Oh, right.”

There was an uncomfortable silence between them for a few moments, finally broken by Mirai asking, “So, Mom tells me you started going to a real school.”

“Hm, oh…uh, yeah.”

“How is it?”

“It’s okay…I guess.” Gohan shrugged and hesitated for a moment before continuing. “Um…Trunks? Could I ask you something?”

“Sure… What is it?”

“Do you have a girlfriend?”

A flicker of surprise flashed across his features for a second. Then he titled his head slightly. “No. Why?”

“Er…” Gohan fumbled with his hands, and he felt heat rise to his cheeks. A light pink colored the tops of his cheeks and the bridge of his nose.

“Well?” Trunks prompted.

“…You won’t hate me if I tell you…right?”

“I don’t think I could ever hate you, Gohan,” Mirai replied softly, his voice containing an emotion Gohan couldn't quite place.

He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. “Trunks…I, uh…I love you. I have for a long time. Seven years to be exact. I figured it out right after you left, so I couldn't tell you but now that you’re here, I couldn't let this chance go by without letting you know how I feel. Please don’t hate me, Trunks, for telling you this. I…I just don’t think I could take losing you like that.”

The blue-eyed boy was quiet for a long moment. Gohan opened his eyes expecting to see Trunks looking back at him in disgust. What he saw took his breath away. Trunks was gazing at him, not with repulsion, but with…love?

“Trunks…” Gohan whispered.

“Shh…” Mirai Trunks said, putting his index finger to the other boy’s lips.

Mirai caressed his cheek and tilted up his chin. Then, he leaned down and brushed his lips against Gohan’s. Gohan’s lips were still slightly parted as he looked at Mirai with surprise.

“Trunks…? Wha…?”

“Gohan,” he began, “I've wanted you for so long. I just never thought that you felt the same… Kami, Gohan, I love you more than I could ever describe to you in words…”

Gohan smiled. “Then don’t.”

“Nani?”

“Don’t say anything.”

Mirai Trunks’s confusion was cleared as Gohan wrapped his arms around his neck and pressed his lips to his. He felt a little courageous and licked Mirai’s lips, silently begging for entrance. Mirai opened his mouth enough to let Gohan’s tongue roam inside. Muffled moans made themselves known as their tongues wrestled for dominance. Trunks held the younger boy closer to him and deepened their kiss even further.

Moments later, they were forced to separate, both breathing heavily. Gohan nuzzled Mirai’s neck and breathed in his scent. He smelled good. He smelled like…roses. Trunks smelled like roses. Gohan kissed his neck, travelling upwards to nibble on his earlobe. Trunks moaned and captured his lips with his own.

Gohan pulled away and kissed Mirai’s nose. “Ai shiteru…my lavender-haired angel.”
