VegeKaka Steak Showdown — Vegeta x Goku Rivalry Fanart

by VegeKaka Fanart: Vegeta x Goku     More by this Collection

Dinner was never going to be peaceful with these two. One steak, two Saiyans, and absolutely no intention of backing down. Goku attacks the meal with pure appetite, while Vegeta answers with the same intensity he brings to every fight. In VegeKaka form, even lunch becomes a battlefield. The tension is ridiculous, competitive, and weirdly intimate—the kind of domestic rivalry only they could turn into foreplay without even noticing.

This is VegeKaka in its most ridiculous and perfect form: one steak, two Saiyans, and enough competitive pride to turn dinner into open warfare. Goku brings pure appetite, Vegeta brings pure refusal to lose, and suddenly the whole scene feels like a challenge neither of them even wants to resolve peacefully.

What makes this so good is how naturally it fits them. Neither of them needs a battlefield to create tension — give them a table, a fork, and something worth fighting over, and the rivalry writes itself. It is funny, intense, and just intimate enough to feel like the kind of domestic chaos only Vegeta and Goku could mistake for bonding.

Who do you think wins this battle first: Goku’s appetite or Vegeta’s pride?

The funniest thing about this image is that the steak is large enough for both of them.

That solution simply does not exist in their universe.

Goku and Vegeta are not really fighting over food here. The steak is only the excuse their relationship requires: something concrete enough to contest, harmless enough to enjoy, and important enough for neither man to surrender without inventing a personal humiliation. The forks go down like weapons. Their faces move close enough for the meal to become secondary.

That is what makes the domestic setting work. A restaurant should neutralize them. There are chairs, warm light, blue sky through the window, and presumably several other items on the menu. Instead, they convert the table into another arena. Civilization has not defeated Saiyan instinct; it has merely provided cutlery.

But there is intimacy hidden inside the absurdity. Neither of them leaves. Neither orders another steak. Neither chooses peace.

They choose the same object, the same challenge, the same table.

For Goku, appetite becomes competition because Vegeta is there. For Vegeta, dinner becomes a matter of royal honor because Kakarot is watching. The steak may be the official prize, but the real reward is having the other man take the contest seriously.

This is domesticity without domestication.

They have not learned how to relax together.

They have learned how to keep choosing each other’s battlefield.
