After the Battle: Seiya and Shun’s Unspoken Truth

by Pegasus Seiya x Andromeda Shun     More by this Collection

When Abel fell and silence swallowed the battlefield, the world remained unchanged. The gods’ flames had been extinguished, their celestial wrath fading into dust. Yet, Shun remained still—a whisper caught on the wind, his emerald eyes fixed on Seiya from afar. Always from afar.

Seiya lay on the edge of wakefulness, sweat and blood now cooled, his breath steadying beneath the weight of survival. He never saw Shun watching him, silent as the shadows. To Shun, love had been something distant, a feeling he dared cradle in secret, convinced it was unneeded—unwelcome, even—by someone as bright as Seiya. Shun believed he was a support to Seiya, nothing more. The Andromeda Saint who shielded with chains and quiet strength. The one who stepped back, leaving space for Seiya’s light to blind the world.

But war has a cruel way of softening the edges of pride, tearing open wounds they once buried deep.

When Seiya fell to his knees before Abel’s crushing power, it was Shun’s voice that screamed first—a cry that cut across the heavens. And when Shun himself crumbled under the same force, Seiya knew. It was not friendship—not only that. His heart had clenched as though the chains Shun wielded had wrapped around him, dragging him into the depths. Love—raw, unspoken, undeniable—flooded in like sunlight through storm clouds.

Here, now, they lay together in a quiet room untouched by gods or war. Shun had drifted close—so close—his body half-draped over Seiya’s, one arm anchored to his chest as if afraid he might slip away. Seiya let him. No words had been exchanged; they weren’t needed. Their bond had survived too much to require explanations.

Seiya’s hand rose slowly, his fingers brushing through Shun’s silken hair—a waterfall of green cascading over his bare skin. The rhythm of their breaths synced, soft and steady. Seiya closed his eyes and smiled faintly.

He hadn’t been sure before, but the battlefield had stripped him bare, revealing truths he could no longer ignore. This love was not fragile, not weak. It was a tether as unbreakable as Shun’s chains, binding them through trials they both thought insurmountable.

And so, Seiya rested. Not because the war was over, but because here—in Shun’s arms—there was peace.
