I keep noticing how the red of the tub makes everything feel more intimate and slightly unreal. Even the strange little creature floating between them adds to that private, almost dreamlike atmosphere. Do you think this kind of quiet closeness is something Vegeta allows only in these hidden spaces, or is it slowly becoming less impossible for him?
What stands out to you more in this image — the vulnerability in Vegeta’s expression, or the quiet way Goku is looking at him?

The red tub is almost theatrical, the palette is aggressively graphic, Goku has one leg thrown into the air with absolutely no concern for dignity, and a strange little foam creature appears to be witnessing the entire encounter from the water. Whatever private mythology Vegeta hoped to construct here, the bathroom has already sabotaged it.
And yet the closeness still feels real.
Goku occupies the tub as though relaxation were another physical state he entered without thinking. He is open, sprawled, looking up at Vegeta with none of the guarded tension that usually accompanies their confrontations. Vegeta, meanwhile, is the one leaning in, searching Goku’s face as though proximity requires more concentration than battle ever did.
That reversal matters. Goku does not seem to need the hidden room in order to permit tenderness. Vegeta does.
The bath gives him an excuse: washing off sweat, checking bruises, sharing heat after training. Practical actions first. Feeling may enter later, disguised as efficiency.
I also like that the image strips away nearly all their usual armor—literal and emotional—without pretending they suddenly become different people. Vegeta still looks intense. Goku still looks infuriatingly comfortable. The tenderness survives because their personalities remain intact, not because steam has magically softened them into generic lovers.
And the little creature between them may be the most Dragon Ball detail of all.
Even in their most private moment, absurdity refuses to leave the room.
