Christmas Pudding

Making pudding is a dangerous thing but it can lead to some fun results.

This story is told from Gohan’s P.O.V.

Chapter 03
I felt Trunks move a little to peek over my shoulder. I sensed his embarrassment in my mind and knew he was blushing big time. My mom was staring at us in horror; we still hadn’t told her about our relationship yet.

I guess she really thought we were sparring all that time.

I tried to act nonchalant, but that’s pretty impossible when your mom has just walked in on you and your boyfriend entirely naked on the kitchen counter, having just finished some really good sex.

“Gohan…my baby…what…why…?”

“Erm…well…ya see…” I stuttered, trying to find the right words.

I glanced at Trunks for some help, but he looked just as speechless as I did. I looked back at my mom, my cheeks burning with embarrassment as the situation really started to sink in.

‘Oh shit…’

Trunks fidgeted a bit, and I could tell he was searching his mind for some sort of explanation for our current position. I noticed my little brother hiding behind my mother’s leg, his eyes wide with curiosity. I also noticed that mom had dropped her sacks of grocery, and a bottle of water (must be for Piccolo) was rolling across the floor.

I heard Trunks sigh and felt him lift his hand, most likely to comb his fingers through his hair. It was a nervous habit of his.

“Uh…Mrs. Chichi? There’s something we have to tell you…”

***

“Mom…?”

“Mrs. Chichi…?”

I waved my hand in front of her face a few times, but still gained no response from her. She had this sort of blank expression on her face, and I don’t think she even realized that her kitchen was splattered with chocolate pudding. Personally, I don’t see what her problem is. I mean, geez, we put our clothes back on. What else does she want?

After Trunks had finished explaining to my mother about our bond and all that, she had just lapsed into this kind of shock-induced stupor. I wasn’t really all that surprised; I knew my mom well enough to figure how she would react to the news.

Why do you think I didn’t tell her?

Now I’m just waiting for her to crash back to reality and scream her head off at us. And it should be starting…

“WHAT???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Now.

“Gohan?! You…with Trunks…??? TOGETHER???!!!!”

I sighed and nodded. Even though I had anticipated this, I didn’t really want to hear it. “Ya know, mom, when you sit down and really think about it, it’s not so bad…”

“Not so bad?!” she shrieked with wide eyes. “Not so BAD?!?!?! How can you say that?? You, my baby, my son, are intimately involved with…with…this…GAY FREAK???!!!”

Both of us stared at my mother in stunned silence, trying not to believe what she had just said. Trunks growled dangerously, and his eyes narrowed in anger. But his fury came nowhere close to matching mine. How dare she insult my mate that way?!

“Chichi…” Trunks said in a low voice.

I saw my mom raise one of her eyebrows at hearing him call her name so informally. She frowned.

“Don’t talk to me. Just go. And if I ever see you corrupting my son again–”

“Corrupting?!”

“Mom, he’s not corrupting me!! I chose to be with him! And nothing you say can ever reverse that!” I screamed.

I wasn’t really thinking about what I was saying; I mean, I knew what I was talking about, I just wasn’t thinking about how it would affect my mom. At the time, I don’t really think I cared.

I looked at Trunks and saw that he was staring at me with a smile that made my mouth drool with desire. I managed to stifle the drool, though, remembering the situation at hand. Even so, I made up in my mind that he was definitely gonna get fucked right after this was over.

“Gohan…you want this…? But why…? What about that sweet Videl girl? I thought you liked her,” my mom said, tears shining in her eyes.

‘Oh no, not the guilt trip…’

I sighed. “Mom, I never liked her. I only dated her to make you happy.”

::She just wanted you to marry her because her dad was loaded.::

I couldn’t help but laugh, as Trunks’ thought resounded in my head. He had a point though. To be honest, I don’t think even mom liked her, either.

“But…but…Gohan…Trunks is a…guy!!”

“So?” Trunks said, a scowl twisting his lips downward.

Mom returned the frown. “So?! It’s wrong! It’s disgusting!”

“No one asked for your opinion.”

I could tell Trunks was pissed. He must’ve still been upset about the ‘gay freak’ thing. Not that I blame him. I scooted closer to him and entwined our fingers, locking them tightly. I felt him relax a little as I did so.

Then I heard mom growl. “Trunks, what would your parents say about his??!!”

Trunks raised his eyebrows. “Dad doesn’t care.”

“And what about your mom?”

Trunks glanced at me for a second, then back at my mom. “She doesn’t…know yet…”

“Well, I’m sure she’d be pleased to find out about the things you were doing to my son a few minutes ago.”

Trunks paled momentarily, most likely thinking about how Bulma would respond to the tidbit of information. We all knew that she would act pretty much the same way as my mom was acting now.

“I think I’ll just make a little phone call.”

“Uh…you don’t want to do that…really…”

Mom made her way over to the phone, but stopped when she noticed something odd about it. Her eyebrows furrowed, and she glanced around the room. It was about this time that she finally noticed what was wrong with her kitchen.

“What did you do to my beautiful kitchen??!!” she shrieked at the top of her lungs.

“Took her long enough,” Trunks muttered under his breath.

I smiled. Personally, I think he was grateful for the distraction. At least she wouldn’t be calling his mother any time soon.

“What is this stuff???!!”

“It’s…um…pudding…” I said with the legendary Son grin.

“Pudding…why…?”

“Pudding??!! Ya got any more pudding??!! I love pudding!!” Goten cried, speaking for the first time since they arrived home.

I laughed and ruffled his hair playfully. “No, Goten, there’s no more pudding. Sorry.”

Goten’s excitement quickly faded, and a pout replaced the grin. “No more pudding…? Where…where did it go…?”

I felt heat rise to my cheeks, staining them a bright crimson shade. Another embarrassment that wasn’t mine made itself known in my head. Trunks was blushing just as much as I was.

“Uh…we ate it…?”

Well, we did…sort of…

“And the bulk of it is on the walls of my kitchen…” mom said through clenched teeth. “Why? Why is there pudding everywhere, Gohan?!”

“I was just trying to make pudding for the party, mom. I wanted to help…”

She frowned and reached out to cover Goten’s ears. “’Ch. And all that pudding just made you want to have sex with Trunks, right?”

I opened my mouth to reply, but nothing came out. I didn’t really know what to say, and even if I did come up with something, it’d just put me in more trouble than I was already in. Luckily, Trunks came to my rescue.

“You should be happy that Gohan even wanted to assist such a selfish prat like you!”

Um…

“What did you just say?” mom said, her frown becoming a snarl.

“You heard me.”

Instinctively, my brother and I backed away from the impending argument. I could almost see the electrical sparks between their foreheads. You know, like in Sailor Moon when Rei and Usagi are trading insults with each other.

“I’ll just pretend I didn’t hear that, Trunks.”

“Well, let me say it louder then!” Trunks said, fury burning in his eyes. “I can’t believe you would interfere with the happiness of your son just because of your own narrow-minded perceptions. What does it matter that we’re both guys? We love each other and make each other happy. And if you were half the mother I had thought you to be, then that would be enough for you!”

Kami, he’s so cute when he’s all mad and stuff.

My mother stood very still for moment, just staring at Trunks, mouth slightly open. I don’t think she ever expected for him to talk to her that way, especially because he was usually so nice to her.

There was a tense silence that hung in the air for several moments before Trunks turned to me. “You wanna spar?”

I blinked. “What?”

“Do. You. Want. To. Spar?” he repeated slowly.

I nodded absently, amazed at the abrupt subject change. He gently pushed me towards the doorway, and I looked back at my mom. She was standing with her arms crossed, staring at us.

“Mom?”

“Go ahead. I need to cook for the party,” she said quietly.

It was then that I realized that Trunks’ words must’ve actually made it through to her brain. I could tell that she was considering all that he had said. Maybe she’d even come to accept us by the time I got back.

::I wouldn’t count on it, koi.::

I turned to Trunks and nodded. There was no way she’d accept it that soon. Maybe tomorrow at the party…

::Wishful thinking…::

I sighed. We walked out of the house, our hands tangled loosely, and took to the air. When we were a few miles away, I paused in our flight. Trunks stopped and looked at me, his head tilted to the side.

“What’s the matter, Gohan?”

I grinned and wrapped my arms around him, kissing him lightly on the nose. I leaned my forehead against his and whispered, “I certainly hope you hadn’t really planned on sparring, koi.”

Trunks chuckled softly and returned the embrace. “Of course not, love. Of course not.”
