“Things just aren’t the same without Goku.” Yamcha said sadly, and no one, not even Vegeta or Piccolo could disagree.
Gohan walked away from the others to sit on the edge of Kami’s lookout. He stared down at the world below, not really caring what went on in it when he felt a hand on his shoulder. looking up, he saw Trunks, back from the dead.
“Oh, Gohan, I know how you feel-”
“Just hold me, Trunks.”
Trunks wrapped his arms around Gohan, and laid his chin on the top of his head.
“Now what do we do?” Gohan asked.
“I don’t know, wait, I guess.”
“When will the waiting end, Trunks?”
“I don’t know.”
“Then just stay with me.”
“All right, Gohan. I’ll stay.”
They sat there together, with no distractions.

King Kai flopped backwards on a stump.
“Damnit, Goku, tell me again why you had to blow up my house? Why not King Yama? Or damn it, why not HELL?”
“Gee, King Kai, I didn’t even think of them…” Goku scratched his head, then rubbed his stomach. “Have you got anything to eat?”
King Kai looked irritated. “Damn it, you can eat Bubbles!”
Goku looked horrified. “But Bubbles is my friend!”
“I wasn’t SERIOUS!”
“Oh… well, King Kai?”
“What now?”
“Where do you get food around here?”
As tempted as he was to tell Goku to jump off snake way, he realized that Goku was a) his friend, and b) would just find his way back anyway. “Goku, we’ll find something.” He sat there, in deep thought. “Hey…”
“What?” Goku asked.
“I DO NOT WEIGH TWICE AS MUCH AS HERCULE! I AM NOT FAT!”
“Oh, well… I didn’t say you were fat. I meant you had to weigh more just to walk around on your planet, since the gravity is nine times that of Earth.”
“Oh…” King Kai buried his face in his hands. This was going to be a long afterlife.
