Trunks and Goku returned to their spar. Gohan watched them from the ground angrily. Wasn’t this supposed to be his training? The dark, dreadful feeling of being rejected and left out overtook him. Instead of becoming his friend, Trunks had become his father’s. Gohan had always wanted to have a friend. Not an animal friend, not a parent friend, but a friend who loved him for who he was not because he was their child or fed them. Apparently, apart from his noble mission to save the Earth, Trunks wanted to have nothing to do with him.
