Goku barely had enough time to spar with them in the evening, and Trunks took Gohan’s training back into his hands. After having done some research, he decided to take Gohan to Thailand in order to expose him to Thai boxing and see how it suits him.
“I can’t believe it,” Gohan muttered, tying the end of an elastic bandage on his hand. “It’s our first day in Thailand and we have already entered some shady underground tournament. How did you even find this place?”
“Pure luck,” Trunks assured him while securing another piece of an elastic bandage around Gohan’s right foot.
Gohan rolled his eyes. “You sure they won’t feed us to the fish if we perform poorly? Or maybe it’s the opposite? Cut our fingers off if we win? This place surely looks like it’s run by a proper mafia.”
“Proper or not, we’ve paid our tournament entry fee, so it’s all good.” It was the first time Gohan had heard anything about expenses. He gave Trunks a reproachful look for wasting his money.
“Don’t worry,” Trunks said cheerfully, “if we win this, we get at least ten times what I paid.”
“I know next to nothing about this Muay Thai.”
“Has that ever stopped a Saiyan?”
“It may stop me from getting that money back you paid for this insanity.”
