During their stay in China they had not only learned and practiced Kenpo but also visited a few famous landmarks. One of the most memorable ones was the temple they had randomly decided to explore. It was mostly because it was late in the evening and the two were tired and hungry. Monks were well-known for their hospitality. Before they were served any food, Gohan and Trunks, however, had to pray in front of the Guardian Lions of the temple. Despite their growling stomachs they managed to concentrate. Neither of the two was religious but both of them found something to pray and ask for.

They had dinner and then got a plain room to spend the night in. Curiosity got the best of Gohan and he asked what Trunks had prayed for. A little embarrassed Trunks admitted that he had prayed for Gohan’s safety. Gohan found it endearing and at the same time amusing since he had prayed for Trunks’ safety.
