They started training on the very next day. The main objective for the first day was to gauge their strength and power levels and see what measures had to be taken for Gohan to turn Super Saiyan. The problem was that Trunks wasn’t so certain what had made him turn Super Saiyan. He could only remember that it had been a dreadful experience. To be honest, he didn’t want Gohan to go through that. He had shared his insight with them, demonstrated his Super Saiyan form and left it for Goku to decide how to go about Gohan achieving it.

The decision that Goku had come up with didn’t surprise Trunks the least bit since it was perhaps the most plausible – to push his son to extremes and beyond.
