040 : Self-hatred

There was too much going on in his head and heart for Gohan’s small room to contain. Without even dressing himself, Trunks escaped the house, shot into the air and kept flying blindly until he finally landed on a deserted river bank.

This was where his hero-worship had led him. He had seen, had known what was happening and did nothing. He had consciously let himself be pulled into Goku’s omnipotent gravity.

When Trunks had come to this timeline first, he had been touched and happy about this Gohan’s innocence and his joy for life that he had. And look how enthusiastically he had been trying to break and knock down Gohan to the ground.

The only good thing about this situation was that he could still make it all better.
