048 : A Few Tricks up His Sleeve

Try as he might, Gohan wasn’t able to close the gap between himself and Trunks. It wasn’t surprising given the difference in their age and Gohan’s not fully developed body, but the teenager took it to heart despite Trunks’ efforts to ease his anxiety. Goku’s demands for perfection weren’t helping either.

Trunks had debated with himself for a few weeks before he finally decided to share his small secret with Gohan.

“There’s something I want to show you,” he told Gohan quietly one evening. “But I think it’s best kept secret from your father.”

Gohan’s eyes rose from the potato he was peeling. He gave Trunks a suspicious look. “What is it?”

“Come outside when you’re done.”

Trunks wasn’t certain that Gravity Chamber would be of much use, but the look on Gohan’s face once he entered it had definitely been worth a try.
