Once Gohan was fully in control of his Super Saiyan transformations, the training in that form commenced. Trunks and he spent hours, then days and then weeks sparring with each other in their Super Saiyan forms. The only drawback was that they didn’t feel much of the higher than normal gravity in the Time Chamber as they were used to much bigger strain in Trunks’ Gravity Room.
