Trunks’ eyes blinked open. It took him a moment to remember and understand why and where he was. He jolted in Gohan’s arms, about to bolt but, instead, flopped on his side ungracefully; he was too weak.

“Careful,” Gohan said.

He tried to pull the other teen back, into a sitting position, but he resisted. Trunks’ eyes, full of hate, were set on Seventeen’s retreating back.

“You!” he coughed out. “You!”

Seventeen turned around and cast him an amused look. “A little bit short on words?” Then he noticed the look in Trunks’ eyes. He wondered what he had done to deserve such hatred; he had even spared their pitiful lives. “A sore loser, aren’t you?” Seventeen sniggered mockingly. “I’ll give you a piece of advice: don’t bother us or I’ll mince you and your little sunshine over again. Be grateful I’m letting you off so easily.”

“Yeah, right. Thanks a bunch!” Trunks hissed at him.

Laughing, Seventeen shot into the air and flew off.
