Chapter 01: Prologue
‘It was all my fault. All of it. The pain, the tears. If I had just left everything alone things would be the same…but they’re not, and it’s my fault.’

Gohan was writing in the journal that his psychiatrist had given him as a suggestion to let out all of his emotions since he refused to talk to anyone about the problem. Hell, he barely ever spoke a word to that idiot when he was there in his office. He was only there on his mother's insistence and even that was enough to make him wonder once again why he bothered going to see the guy. It’s not like the therapy was helping. The man just annoyed him. As for his mother…Well, she didn't care too much to begin with. She just wanted him back to normal so that she could pretend that none of this ever happened.

‘I have no one to blame but myself for what happened. Oh my Kami, Trunks you have no idea how sorry I am and how much I miss you.’ Gohan squeezed his eyes shut, but the tears came through anyway, soaking his cheeks and smudging the ink on the paper. He kept going anyway just because he refused to speak about it didn't mean he was unaware of the fact that this was something that needed to be taken of his chest. He never said he didn't need some kind of help, he just didn't think that it could be found in the words of another.

‘Do you know that whenever I write in this journal, I’m writing to you? Do you know how sorry I am for not being there when you needed me most? For not being there when I told you that I would be?’ Gohan stopped writing, put his elbows on the desk that was in his study room in the house he was going to share with Trunks and hid his face and tears inside of his hands. It had been four years. Four long, miserable years in a living hell since that day but in order to fully understand the situation we should go back six years.

Six years ago

The sun was starting to set. Gohan and Trunks had just finished a tough spar they had on the outskirts of the city. Gohan won but not without taking a few punches and kicks that would give him major bruises that would take several days if not a couple of weeks to heal. Trunks walked away with pretty much the same, except for a slightly split lip, but that was just because Gohan went easy on him. The very last thing he would ever want to do would be to hurt the object of his undying affections. Sometimes Gohan felt a little guilty about having feelings for someone who was ten years younger than him but then you can’t pick and choose who you love now can you?

He had first discovered that he was in love with Trunks shortly after Videl died in a car accident four years earlier. The truly horrible thing about it was that she may have been pregnant with his child. No one knew for sure or not. She said that she might be to his mother but didn't know for sure yet. Trunks was the only person who could say something to him that would be worth any real comfort. Everybody else just left him alone, not saying anything to try and help, believing that he needed the time alone to sort things out and to think.

His mother started pestering him about girls barely a month after Videl's death. Gohan swore that she was paranoid of not being a grandmother or something. It was just plain sick how she tried to act as if it never happened in order to push him into a new relationship. His father and brother tried to help once in a while, but they’re not very good with words or advice, so they eventually stopped trying. Trunks was the only one who was always there for him, to make him smile, and to help take away the pain.

When Gohan thinks about it now, he realizes that the love he had for Videl then, in comparison the love he has for Trunks now, was practically nothing. It made him wonder, sometimes if he was in love with her at all, or if it was just a deep friendship that he had with her and didn't know it. After all, he never did have many friends, aside from Piccolo, and he wasn't allowed to see him all that much when he was younger anyway.

At first he didn't confess his feelings because they were both boys. After finding that out that sort of thing is more widely accepted now more than ever, he was going to say something but then the age difference caught his mind. He was twenty-four and Trunks was only fourteen, not the normal age that most people see around. So, he kept his feelings to himself. Maybe he would say something when Trunks turned twenty. It was a long time to wait but was better than nothing. He would only have to hope that no one snagged Trunks on him within that six years. Already he was getting noticed by girls and this made Gohan more than a little nervous.

They were both covered in a nice layer of sweat and were both breathing heavily while still in the air. Thankfully Trunks didn't seem to notice that he was going easy on him or Gohan was sure that he would throw a fit at being babied in a spar. While Trunks was turning into a gentleman, he was still the son of Vegeta and Bulma, and therefor inherited a temper that most should watch out for even if it didn't show itself all that often.

Gohan smiled brightly, he hadn't sparred in a long time and it had felt good. “Hey, thanks for asking me to spar with you Trunks. I have to admit though, that when you called I was afraid you’d beat the hell out of me! It’s been a long time since I've trained.” Trunks had been looking for Goten at first but then asked for Gohan when he was told by Chi-Chi that he was out on a date. Gohan assumed that if Trunks had asked his father to spar first then he probably told him to get lost or something, But the chances that he asked Vegeta to spar were slim to none since he never wanted to make a fool out of himself in front of his father and challenging someone who was stronger than you in a spar was the best way to accomplish that. Sometimes Gohan felt sorry for him. It was as if Vegeta didn't care about his son at all sometimes and Bulma had his life all planned out from birth to run Capsule Corp even though she knew he hated the idea of an office job. Of course, Gohan could relate to the problem of mothers, which was why they got along so well.

Trunks re-sheathed his sword before answering. “Hn. Ya right, Gohan-san!” He said pointing at him accusingly while grinning to show there were no hard feelings. “You were probably ecstatic that I called you so you could HAVE someone to beat up!”

They both burst out laughing even though it hurt to do so. Finally when they got themselves under control, Trunks pointed to a nearby river and suggested that they wash up. Gohan nodded in agreement after looking himself over and followed Trunks to the river.

He regretted it almost immediately however, When Trunks removed the tank top and sword he was wearing to reveal his finely toned muscles and placed them next to him on the ground. Gohan looked away in embarrassment and to also hide the blush he was sure was forming on his cheeks. “What’s the matter, Gohan-san?” Gohan turned his head slightly to get a look at the teen sitting on the ground removing his boots while giving him a confused look. “It’s… uh…nothing. Don’t worry about it.” He replied sheepishly. He was going to have a hard time keeping his hands to himself if Trunks took off anything else.

Trunks looked down at himself and suddenly picked up on what he thought was on Gohan’s mind. He raised his eyebrows in surprise. “Gohan! What do you think I am? Some kind of hentai!?!” He practically screamed. “I’m not getting completely undressed you know! I’m leaving my pants on!”

“Oh.” He said the blush on his cheeks getting brighter with a mixture of relief, embarrassment, and disappointment.

“You’re weird sometimes, y’know that?” Trunks was practically laughing at this point. Then an evil thought crossed his mind and he gave the famous smirk which was inherited from Vegeta. He got up and slowly walked to where Gohan still stood.

Gohan saw the smirk on his face and was more than a little nervous when several unpleasant and pleasant things came to mind. Trunks was barley five inches away from him, now looking up at him. The smirk replaced with an innocent smile. He swallowed hard. What was he doing? Trunks began to levitate a little so their height was the same and then leaned his head closer to Gohan’s. He just stood there frozen with anticipation. Was Trunks going to kiss him? Could he be that lucky? Trunks’s head suddenly took a sharp turn off the path that Gohan would have preferred it to be on and came to a halt next to his ear. “You would prefer to swim in your clothes then, Gohan-san?” He whispered in such a light voice that he could barely make out what was said in time to save himself from being roughly grabbed and thrown into the river only to come up, sputtering for air to see a laughing and pointing saiyan prince.

“You little brat! I’ll get you back for that one!”

Trunks stopped laughing and even managed to look a little hurt. He continued to levitate in the air and crossed his arms and Gohan could have sworn that he was pouting now. “Really, Gohan-san, I thought that a little fun wouldn't turn you into such a tight ass. If I had known that it would bug you so much then I would have left you alone.”

Gohan grinned getting the idea that Trunks was still playing around. “And besides,” He continued. “I am NOT a brat anymore! I’m eighteen now so you can’t call me that anymore!” Gohan winced at hearing the tone he had used when saying that. Just short of yelling but so full of anger that he might as well of been screaming. He had forgotten how much Trunks hated to be called a brat since that was what Vegeta addressed him as. It was either brat, or boy, never Trunks. Trunks hated it all the more since his father still referred to him by those names even thought he was legally an adult for over a week now. Vegeta never acknowledged him as his son.

‘So much for still playing around.’ He thought while desperately looking for a new topic of discussion. “Um…so Trunks how was your birthday? I forgot to apologize for not being there since I had a class to teach.”

“Oh, that’s ok, Gohan-san.” Trunks replied, the venom slipping from his voice now. “And by the way, thanks for the watch, I love it!” He said pointing to the waterproof watch that was on his wrist.

Gohan put his hand behind his head and plastered on that famous Son grin completely ecstatic that Trunks liked his gift and harbored no bad feelings for not being able to attend his party. “So did you have fun?” He asked putting his hand back into the water.

“Um…Not really, no.” Trunks replied looking down at the ground sadly. He flew over the river and lowered himself in the water and started to do a light backstroke circling around him.

“Really? How come?” Gohan asked, startled by the idea that someone couldn't enjoy their own birthday party.

Trunks stopped the backstroke and just floated in the water, staring at the now dark and full of stars sky, he hadn't noticed it got dark so quick. “Well, the only people that were there that I even knew or liked were your own family, and even then it’s not like I can have a conversation with your mother, or spar with your dad or Goten with all of the other people around. Besides he got caught up in all the attention the girls were giving him and left me alone quick enough. After that mom spent most of the day introducing me to the presidents of other major companies, to get me started on Capsule Corp early I suppose. Dad wasn't even there.”

“What about your friends from school?”

“Don’t have any.”

“WHAT!?! Why not? What’s not to like about you?”

Trunks was blushing now at the comment. “Well, when I first started school I had a lot of friends, but I found out fast enough that they were only hanging out with me because of how rich I am, so I stopped hanging out with them. One guy thought that I was making a statement or something when I did that, so he tried to pick a fight with me.” Gohan was hanging on to every word Trunks was saying, unable to believe that all this misery could be going on with no one knowing it.

“And then what happened?” Trunks wasn't facing him but from what he could see he was in a lot of pain that was long overdue to be let out.

“All the kids got into a huge circle around me and started to chant out: Spoiled Rich Kid. The kid who picked the fight with me threw a punch at my face but I caught it and accidentally squeezed too hard…and his wrist broke. All the kids just looked at me in fear and then ran away like I was some kind of freak.”

“What? I can’t believe that this has happened! How is it that no one ever found out about this?”

“Well, you’re a teacher Gohan-san, you should know that students don’t tell on each other like that or else they’d be called snitches. Only Goten knows. I think that kid just said he fell down a flight of stairs or something. The guys have pretty much kept away from me after that but the girls are still at it.”

“Still at what?”

“Hitting on me, I mean…The only reason why there were any students at the party at all was because mom invited the whole school for a pool party, and when the girls would give me a gift they would always tell me to open it in private, and it would ALWAYS be a bra or panties. It gets really annoying after saying that your not interested for so long and they still don’t listen.”

Gohan was angry now. With himself for not being there to keep Trunks company, even though he had been forgiven, with Goten for not being a better friend, and with the kids that Trunks went to school with. ESPECIALLY the girls! It was more jealousy than anger with the girls. He had been around on a few occasions when girls would go up to Trunks and bat their eyes at him or even give him kisses on the cheeks when he obviously didn't like it and it drove Gohan nuts to see people hit on him like that! What WAS their problem?

“Gohan-san?…Hey! Gohan! Are you listening?”

“Huh? What?” Gohan blinked a few times and looked over to where Trunks was, and was pretty surprised to see that he was barely one foot directly in front of him. He almost jumped clear out of the water at how close he was. Wouldn’t take much to just grab him and kiss him. He shook his head, trying to snap himself out of the wishful thinking he was doing. Trunks hated being hit on, and to have a friend do it to you wouldn’t be the greatest thing in the world to have happen. “Um, sorry Trunks. What were you saying?”

“You spaced out for a good five minutes before I even noticed and I asked you why you were going easy on me in that spar we had.” Trunks had his arms crossed now, waiting for an explanation.

‘Shit!!! I thought he didn't notice!’ “Uh…What makes you think I was going easy on you?” He asked, perfectly aware of how stupid he must sound asking such an obvious question.

“I was sensing your ki, Gohan-san, and not once did you go to your limit when you turned super saiyan! How else would I know?”

Gohan looked down in shame, unable to meet the beautiful princes eyes. He turned around without meeting his gaze and headed out of the water. He wouldn’t be able to stand the disappointment that was most likely showing on his face. The temper would have been a better thing to deal with.

“Gohan! Where are you going! Aren't you going to at least answer my question?!” Trunks yelled angrily.

‘Well, I got my wish. Here’s his temper.’ He thought sarcastically to himself. He turned slightly so he could see him in the corner of his eye. “Trunks I just didn't want to hurt you, that’s all.”

He just looked at him as if he had just been slapped out of nowhere but that look was quickly replaced with one of anger and pure betrayal. “WHAT!?!?!” He screamed, Gohan winced. “Gohan!! We were just talking about how I am NOT some little kid anymore and you were babying me in a spar as if I couldn't handle it!?!”

“Trunks it’s not like that at–”

“Shut up!!! What do you know! I was speaking to you about school and my dad because I thought that you would understand and not treat me like some stupid little kid who just doesn't get it! But you don’t understand at all, do you!?!”

“Trunks, please listen t–”

“No!!!” He was completely pissed off at this point. He started to hover out of the water and approach Gohan in a threatening manner with his ki just scratching the surface of super saiyan, His short lavender hair spiking upward, practically begging to turn gold. He then stopped right in front of his face, sneering at him in a look that would have made Vegeta proud. This had him scared almost shitless even though he could beat Trunks in a real fight any day of the week. “How many times have we sparred and you went easy on me, huh? How many!?! I am NOT a child, Gohan! Everyone treats me like a kid! I thought you were different!” The voice and face that Gohan worshiped was losing its anger and was replaced with a sound and look of hurt and betrayal. “I thought you were my friend but I guess I was wrong!”

Trunks was about to fly away but Gohan grabbed his arms and pulled him back down to the ground, forcing him to look him in the eyes. “What are you doing, Gohan-san? Just let me go! I want to be alone!”

“Not until you hear what I have to say, Trunks.” Gohan’s voice was so soft yet so full of determination that it demanded to be obeyed, and Trunks obeyed.

Gohan sighed. He hoped that he wasn't making a mistake doing this. “First of all, I don’t think that you are a stupid kid. I think that you’re a mature adult, when you act like it, and have thought so for a long time now.” Gohan didn't lighten his grip on Trunks’s arms even though he made no move to get away. He wanted to make sure he got out everything that needed to be said, and didn't want to risk him getting angry again and trying to fly away. Trunks still looked hurt but at least he was listening, so he continued.

“Secondly, I didn't go easy on you because I think your weak or anything. It’s just that if you were to ever get seriously hurt by my hands, then there would be no way on earth that I would ever be able to forgive myself.” Trunks was hanging on to every word Gohan was saying now and for this he was grateful. He needed Trunks to understand what he was saying the first time he said it. If he was forced to repeat himself then he would just make a bigger ass out of himself and that was just something he didn't need.

“W-what are you saying, Gohan-san?” Trunks whispered looking up at his face.

Gohan gave a deep sigh. It was now or never to confess. No going back. And Kami, did Trunks ever look good in the star light! If this turned out right, it could be compared to one of those good romance novels where love is confessed in such a romantic way, that most are sure that people and places like that don’t exist. He let go of one of Trunks’s arms and placed his right hand on his cheek.

“Trunks I care about you more than anything in the whole world. If anything were to happen to you I don’t know what I’d do. …I love you. I love you so much, Trunks.” Gohan slowly leaned forward, using the hand that was still holding Trunks’s cheek with, brought his face closer, and lightly brushed Trunks’s lips with his own. He immediately tensed up, but didn't push Gohan away.

He prayed that this would work and that Trunks wouldn't turn him down. The very idea sent a spear through his chest. However, Gohan’s heart skipped a beat when he felt Trunks relax against the kiss he was being given, and he nearly fainted when he felt Trunks kiss back! He removed his hand from Trunks’s cheek and put it in the back of his neck in order to deepen the kiss, slipping his tongue in Trunks’s mouth. Trunks wrapped his arms around Gohan’s neck and he could’ve swore he was in heaven on earth!

A light moan escaped from Trunks’s throat. It was the most beautiful sound Gohan had ever heard, and it brought him, almost instantly to full arousal. Trunks noticed this, however, broke the kiss off, shrugged out of the hold on his other arm and backed away a few feet, looking up at him in surprise. Much to Gohan’s heart wrenching disappointment.

“W-what’s the matter, Trunks?” He asked, praying to Dende that he wasn't being turned down.

“G-Gohan-san, I….I can’t…I-I've never…” He stuttered out while twiddling his fingers and finding something to stare at on the ground.

Gohan smiled gently, getting the idea that he wasn't being turned down. Apparently Trunks was still a virgin. He approached him slowly. He had actually expected something like this. After all, it was a little much to ask for sex on the day you admit your love. He placed an arm around Trunks’s shoulder, and he turned up to face his smiling face. “It’s ok, Trunks. I understand. We won’t do anything until your ready.” He said, placing a gentle kiss on the young bishounen’s forehead.

Trunks looked at him with so much relief in his eyes that they were tearing slightly. “Y-you’re not disappointed?”

“Of course not, you could make me wait ten years and I wouldn't be disappointed.”

Trunks wrapped his arms around him in a tight hug, letting the tears flow. “Thank you, Gohan-san.”

Gohan wrapped his arms around him and started to rub his back comfortingly.”There’s no need to cry, Trunks, I understand, and it’s all right.” He thought for a moment. “And you can stop calling me Gohan-san if we’re going to be together y’know.” Trunks chuckled, still sobbing into his soaked shirt.

“Y-you have no idea how l-long I've wanted this, Gohan.” Trunks choked out between sobs.

Curiosity got the better of him at this point. “Really? How long?”

Trunks chuckled again, wiping away his tears. “Practically since I hit puberty.”

“Really?”

“Hai, demo I never said anything because I thought you would just see me as a stupid little kid with a crush. That’s why I get so mad when people treat me like a kid or when you went easy on me in that spar that we had.”

Gohan’s face lit up. This explained a lot. Why Trunks hated being referred to as a kid or brat, not paying any attention to all the girls who follow him home, and why he blew up on him a minute ago for admitting to not wanting to hurt him in that spar.

“My dad is going to kill me.”

“What?” Gohan asked, looking down at him.

“My dad. He’s going to kill me when he finds out I’m with you.”

Gohan smiled reassuringly. “Then we won’t tell anybody at least not yet. When we do, I’ll be right there at your side to make sure that nothing bad will happen to you.”

Trunks’s face lit up with pure relief at this point. He didn't know if his father would actually kill him but he would definitely get a good beating when Vegeta finds out about them and most likely be disowned too. If Gohan were there then at least he would stand a chance emotionally if not physically.

Gohan grabbed his hand. “C’mon, lets get out of here. It’s getting late.” He began to fly away but now it was Trunks’s turn to pull him back. Gohan looked down at him, puzzled.

“Gohan?”

“Yes?”

“I love you too.” Trunks said, smiling shyly with a fresh blush on his cheeks.

Gohan smiled down at him. He lowered himself down a bit, took Trunks’s face into his hands and gave him another gentle kiss on the lips. They stared at each other’s eyes for a moment before getting their things and flying off together.

***

The next year and a half went by pretty smoothly, Trunks became the president of Capsule Corp and Gohan continued his teaching, only now he was doing it at a university. Nobody suspected a thing was going on between them. Goten eventually found out, having walked in on them kissing once but him being a friend and younger brother told them that their secret was safe with him. It was actually a good thing to have someone know about them. This way Goten could provide alibis for them in case they were ever careless with their dating.

Trunks had still not given himself to Gohan yet. There were times when they came close in their lust for each other but Trunks’s virgin fear would always kick in and get the better of him. Gohan didn't care though. As long as he had Trunks, it didn't matter. Besides, he did tell him that he would wait ten years if needed, and he meant it.

Not like it mattered anymore anyway. He had already bought a ring and now all that was needed was to propose.

He took him to the fanciest restaurant he could afford, got down on one knee, and proposed in front of everyone who was there. Trunks was totally dumbstruck, not having expected that. Some of the people there applauded for their happiness when he said yes. Others looked at them with a bit of disgust. But it didn't matter anymore because he said YES!!

It was a simple gold ring that he had bought for him but on the inside, engraved in silver were the words: I Will Love You Forever. The look on Trunks’s face when he read those words was priceless. Gohan half wished he had a camera.

Trunks decided that to engrave a message on their rings was a great idea, so he bought a similar ring and had the inside also engraved in silver: I Am Yours Always. Trunks was never all that good at being romantic, so the message really touched him. He was probably up for hours thinking of what to have written. Oh well, he liked being the romantic one to his aisuru anyway.

Next came the hard part, telling their families. Goku probably wouldn't care. Chi-Chi, who knows? She might accept them. As for Vegeta and Bulma…well…hopefully they won’t take it too hard.

They called everyone over to the Briefs's home, claiming to have a big announcement to make. When they said they were getting married, everyone (except for Vegeta and Goten) did a face vault. Trunks kept his eyes on his father the whole time, so he wouldn't be caught off guard, should the saiyan prince decide to attack. Gohan took his hand and squeezed it reassuringly. Vegeta merely looked at them with his I-don’t-give-a-damn look, and said: “So?” They both nearly fainted.

It turns out that due to a lack of females on Vegeta-sei, it wasn't all that uncommon for males to mate with each other. Well, what do ya' know? All that worrying and he doesn't even care. The only real problem that he had with their relationship was that because Gohan was older, stronger and wiser, that made him the dominate mate, and it just so happens that he could order Trunks to do whatever he wanted and whether or not Trunks realized it, he would obey. When he got a moment alone with him, Vegeta actually threatened to rip his throat out, should he abuse that power. The great saiyan-no-ouji actually cares for his son? Amazing.

Not like that really mattered anyway. Gohan made a silent vow to himself to never give orders to his mate. He loved Trunks because of the way he acted and didn't want to change a thing about him, so what would be the point?

Bulma was a little uncomfortable with the idea of her son marrying someone ten years older than him, but aside from that, she didn't seem to mind at all. She did, after all know Gohan since he was just a little kid. Goku was a little stunned but when he got over his initial shock he seemed pretty happy for them and was even offering his congratulations. Everyone else came around too and quickly did the same. Goten just smirked like he had seen it coming a mile away.

Chi-Chi however, marched right up to them and slapped them both hard on the faces, screaming that what they were doing was disgusting and demanded that they call the whole thing off.

“We’re not calling off the wedding, Mom, and that’s final!” Gohan couldn't believe that his mother had just slapped Trunks right in front of him. He was used to getting slapped. It was a punishment that he and Goten would receive often if they misbehaved, much to the dislike of their father. But to slap Trunks! And to demand that they call off the wedding like she still had the right to tell him what to do!?! For Kami’s sake, he was almost thirty!!

“Son Gohan, How dare you speak to me like that! You will call off this wedding, and you will never go near this little tramp ever again!!” Chi-Chi shouted, pointing and giving the death glare to Trunks.

This pissed off Bulma to no end. “Chi-Chi, don’t you speak about MY son like that in MY house! And don’t you EVER lay a finger on him EVER AGAIN!!!”

That resulted in what would have been a cat fight had Gohan not held back Chi-Chi from trying to drop kick Bulma. Trunks tried to reason with her but this just resulted in more screaming.

“Please, Son-san, why can’t you just be happy for us? Everyone else is.”

Chi-Chi would have attacked him too if Gohan wasn't still holding her back “Don’t you speak to me, you little slut!!…No, wait, tell me.” She said in a smug tone. “What did you do in order to wrap my son around your little finger, hmm? How long did it take you to trap him like you did? Because I know for a fact that he started out straight because of Videl!!”

“MOM!!!” Gohan screamed, handing his stunned mother over to Goku. “Don’t you dare bring Videl into this! I love Trunks very much! More than I loved Videl!!” Gohan’s tone got as smug as Chi-Chi’s did a second ago. “And for your information I was the one who made the first move on him, not the other way around.” Gohan couldn't believe himself. He supposed that being the dominate mate brought out some protective instincts in him. It just wasn't like him to act like that.

Chi-Chi fainted dead away in Goku’s arms after hearing that. “Um…I think I’ll take her home now you guys.” Goku said nervously. The tension in the room was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Everyone else gave their final congratulations to Gohan and Trunks before politely and nervously excusing themselves as well. Vegeta just nodded at them and left the room. Trunks never looked happier. He knew that was his fathers way of accepting them.

Bulma went over to the both of them and immediately started to worry over the giant red hand prints on their faces. “Really Mom, we’re ok!” Trunks insisted but Bulma continued to pepper kisses on his face as if that would make the red mark disappear.

“That woman is no longer welcome in my home! It’s really amazing how all of her screaming didn't wake up Bra!” She said between kisses. “Um…No offense, Gohan.” she said turning towards him.

“That’s alright, Bulma-san. I don’t like how she acted anymore than you do. Actually, we thought that it would be you and Vegeta who would take it badly.”

Bulma chuckled softly, while going to take at look at his own red face. “Really Gohan, I’d of thought that you, and at LEAST my own son would have a little more faith in me than that. Vegeta I can understand, but me?” She chuckled again at the embarrassed faces they were now making.

“Ok, it’s late out so you might as well stay here for the night, Gohan.”

This shocked him more than a little and raised his eyebrows.”Thank you Bulma-san.” Gohan said, truly grateful. Bulma had only just now found out that they were together and she was letting him sleep over. Of course, it’d be in a guest bedroom but it still showed how much she was on their side. Either that, or she just wanted to piss his mother off.

“Alright then, Trunks, run up to your room and make sure it’s clean before Gohan sees it.”

“Before Gohan sees it?” Trunks asked confused.

“Well, sure. The two of you can use the same room since you’re now together. No reason to dirty up one our guest rooms, right? And you could also give him something to sleep in.”

Gohan just looked at Trunks as if to ask if this was real. He just shrugged. “Um, sure mom. I’ll be right back.” He said before running upstairs.

Bulma turned towards Gohan and gave him a determined stare. ‘Uh oh.’ He thought nervously as she crossed her arms and marched up to him. That was never a good sign.

“Gohan?”

“Um…Yes, Bulma-san?”

“Do you love my son?”

“Yes, Bulma-san I do.” He said, confused at the question. He WAS marrying him. Shouldn't that be proof enough?

“How much?”

He looked at her somewhat confused before meeting her determined glare with one of his own. “I love him more than I love my own lif and I would do anything to keep him safe and out of harms way.”

“Bulma smiled brightly at hearing this. “That’s all I wanted to know.” She stood on her toes and kissed him lightly on the cheek where he’d been slapped earlier before giggling and jumping up and down like some fifteen year old girl. “I can’t believe your going to be my son-in-law!!” Gohan couldn't help but grin. A lot of his father had rubbed off on Bulma in the time they had spent together in their younger years. You just had to look for it to see it.

Trunks came back down the stairs looking like a million bucks. “Alright, I've got something for Gohan to sleep in and my room doesn't look like a dump either.”

“Good. Now go to bed you two, it’s late.”

They both grinned and headed for Trunks’s room side-by-side. When they got there, Gohan changed into a pair of boxers and a T-shirt and climbed into bed. Trunks wore a black tank top and another pair of boxers and climbed in beside him.

This wouldn't be the first time they slept in the same bed so they were used to the idea of cuddling at night. Trunks snaked his arms around Gohan's waist and snuggled up closer to him before reaching over and turning out the lamp next to the bed. Gohan looked down at him and ran his hand gently across the red mark that was still quite visible even in the dark, and sighed.

“Really, Gohan it’s fine. I barely felt it at all when she slapped me.”

He frowned. “That doesn't matter. I just can’t believe she hit you like that.”

“What about you?” He asked, gently placing his own palm on the hand print on Gohan’s face.

“That’s different. I’m her son, I’m used to it. She had no right to lay a finger on you like that, OR call you all those horrible names.” He said, running a hand through Trunks’s lavender hair.

“Oh no! Do you think she’ll actually beat me up next time?” Trunks quipped with a smile gracing his perfect features. Gohan cracked a grin and he playfully poked him in the ribs. “Of course, YOU could make a joke out of something like this!” Trunks started to giggle. “Ya', I might just have to keep you around full time for the protection.”

“Mmm.”Gohan leaned down and brushed his lips to Trunks’s. He soon deepened the kiss and leaned on top of the lavender haired prince, taking full advantage of his mouth and slipping his tongue inside the hot space. Trunks wrapped his arms around Gohan’s back, kissing back and greedily accepting the treatment which was being given. “You know that might not be such a bad idea.” He whispered in his mouth. What followed was what could only be described as a furious make-out session that lasted the better part of the night.

***

Six months later, shortly after Trunks’s twentieth birthday, they were married. Everyone was there, including Chi-Chi, but only after the constant nagging of Goku and Goten.

They wanted it to be as traditional a wedding as they could make it. So, Trunks wore a white tuxedo since he was still a virgin and it was held in a large church with Dende to perform the ceremony. Bra was a the flower girl, and Trunks walked down the aisle. He walked down with his own best man Goten and not with his father, since that’s what brides did and they weren't walking hand in hand. Despite all of Bulma’s bullying, she couldn't make Trunks hold a bouquet of flowers or get them to play the organ music as he walked down the aisle to meet Gohan.

Gohan had Piccolo as his best man. Anyone with at least half decent sight could see that he was a complete mixture of happiness, nervousness, and anxiousness. It was amazing how he had managed to stand there at all. Piccolo just looked at his former student and best friend with happiness. Not actually smiling, just smirking, but everyone could see he was happy for him.

Even though the wedding took place in a church, it was held at sundown. So the lighting through the windows would be just perfect for the surrounding white candles that were cinnamon scented. There were flowers surrounding everything, chairs, tables, the alter. It was a picture perfect wedding. The only thing that was out of place was the scowl on Chi-Chi’s face when they said their “I Dos” while everyone applauded them.

Soon, after the cake was cut and the pictures taken, everyone was on the dance floor, Vegeta even danced with Bulma. After Trunks and Gohan had their first dance as a married couple, Trunks danced with his mother and then with his younger sister. Gohan danced with Bulma when Trunks was done with her since his own mother refused to participate. She even turned down Goku when he offered to dance with her. That blew everyone away, considering she almost never got the chance to dance with her husband and was turning him down now.

Trunks tried to break the ice with her and politely offered to dance with her. She just put down the wine glass she was holding and left for home without so much as saying a word. Nobody else wanted to ruin the day, so they all just continued on dancing and having fun as if nothing happened.

All too soon it had to end. Trunks and Gohan were receiving their final congratulations before getting ready to fly off to their hotel for the night since the church they picked was a little far from home. That was actually just what Gohan had told Trunks, when truthfully the reason why they couldn't go home was because he was having all of their things moved into a new house for them. He wanted it to be a surprise for his koi.

The next morning they were planning on catching a flight to Jamaica to spend the next two weeks for their honeymoon. It was just a small city on the west side of the Island but it was a beautiful place with an even better looking beach near the Hotel they reserved. The Briefs family had all gone on a vacation there once when Trunks was about fifteen, he even learned how to surf there, and Trunks wanted to share that with Gohan. So they both decided that it would be the perfect spot to go. But right now they had better things to do, like have their wedding night.

They checked into their room, which Gohan had paid for. He didn't want people to think that he had married Trunks for his money, so he insisted on providing as much for him as he could to try and take the load off being the president of the largest company in the world.

It was a really nice room considering they were only staying for one night. The largest in the entire hotel with the best view of the city. It had cost a lot, but was more than worth it. Trunks eyed the bed with a little uncertainty, but started to unbutton his jacket anyway.

Gohan saw the nervous look on his face and stopped him. “We still don’t have to if you don’t want to.”

Trunks smiled up at him, wrapped his arms around his neck and kissed him passionately. They didn't stop until the lack of air forced them to separate. “Gohan, I love you. I’m just a little nervous, that’s all. Everyone is on their first time, right?”

“Well I suppose so, but –”

“Shhhh.” Trunks stopped him with another scorching kiss and once again they didn’t stop until the need for air forced them apart. “Gohan, I AM ready for you. Please believe me when I say that.”

The willpower that Gohan had to create in order to control himself during the two sexless years he had with Trunks was quickly crumbling away. He, himself, didn't know why he was holding back on his wedding night. Perhaps it had just become an instinct that he had built in, in order to protect Trunks from that sort of pressure before he was ready.

“Gohan, I admitted to being nervous but there is no one in the whole world who I would rather share this with, than you. I am so glad it’s going to be you.” Trunks’s eyes never left his when he said this. He gave a soft kiss to Gohan’s lips. “Make love to me.” He said breathlessly.

That did it. All the will to fight off what he had worked so hard to build was now gone. He put his hand behind Trunks’s neck and brought his face forward to ravage his mouth. They both moaned into each other's throats as they slowly made their way towards the bed. Slowly their clothes came off. Gohan didn't want to hurt Trunks any more than necessary so he was sure to bring along some massage oil. He laughed when he had to explain to Trunks what it was for. He was just too much of an innocent sometimes even as an adult. He regretted, somewhat that he would be taking part of that innocence in a few minutes, but it had to happen sooner or later.

It still hurt when he entered him though, even with the oil, and it broke Gohan’s heart to hear him cry out in pain and to see the tears squeeze through his tightly shut eyes. This was pain that he was causing and he felt like shit for it. He worriedly asked if he wanted him to stop even though his body screamed at him to continue. Trunks wrapped his legs around him and told him to keep going. He grit his teeth and kept on going. but was slow, trying to hold back his groans of pleasure and waiting for the pain Trunks was feeling to recede.

At his first pleasured moan, Gohan gratefully sped up, moaning out his own pleasure. Trunks cried out as Gohan continued to thrust into him. “Oh my God!” He really enjoyed the feel of it. The two of them kept going like that for a majority of the night. Making love and staying together as one the whole time.

***

Gohan awoke first to the sun in his face. He was always an early riser, so he didn't bother to set the alarm clock. He looked down to see his lavender haired prince, still sleeping with his arms wrapped around his waist and head resting on his chest. He couldn't hold back the huge smile that came to his lips as he ran his hand through the purple hair he loved so much, and thought back to the sweet memory they had created together last night.

He looked over at the clock. It was 9:00 a.m. He sighed. He wanted to stay in this position forever, but their flight left at 10:15, and if they didn't get up now then they would miss it.

He gently shook the young prince. “Trunks, wake up. We need to get ready or else we’ll miss the flight.”

All he got for an answer was a groan and a shrug off. He shook a little harder this time. Nothing. It figured. Trunks COULD sleep through most things. It was amazing that he ever got to work on time. “Trunks, wake up!”

“Mmmmm….No. Need more sleep.”

Gohan chuckled. They *had* gone on a long time last night and Trunks was still half asleep. “We’re going to miss our flight if you don’t get up, y’know.”

“Then…we’ll fly there…on our own.”

“All the way to Jamaica?”

“…Ya. Easy, we…just go…in a straight line.” He mumbled.

“Gohan snickered at hearing this and clutched Trunks closer to him. “Sorry, I’d like to stay like this too but we need to get up now.” He said more to himself than to the bishounen lying on him. ‘Now let me see. What is it that should be guaranteed to wake you up? Oh! I know!’ He leaned in closer to his ear and made the faintest whisper. “Hey Trunks, breakfast is ready!”

His eyes immediately shot open and looked around, just to find Gohan grinning like an idiot. “You tricked me!” He said tiredly.

“Yup!”

Trunks yawned. “I might as well get up then.”

“Gohan chuckled as he reached for a robe and slipped out of bed. “Don’t worry, we’re going to eat before we leave.” Both of their stomachs gave grateful growls upon hearing this. He went over to the phone and ordered three of everything from room service. Although you couldn't see him, it was obvious that the guy on the other side of the phone did a face vault at the amount of food that was ordered due to the crashing sound.

When the food came up, Trunks had all of his usuals. Anything sweet! Pancakes, waffles, a danish. The only thing he had that wasn't sweet would have been the orange juice. Gohan had all of his usuals too. Bran muffins, cereals, fruits and coffee. While eating they would occasionally take a glance at each other and smile, still in the glow of what they had done the previous night. They finished off $200.00 worth of food in less than ten minutes and then went for a long shower together, where they made love again. Needless to say, Trunks’s shyness in the bedroom was gone.

Regrettably, they had to get out, get dressed, and get their things, among them was Trunks’s sword, which he had to hide in a Capsule to get it on the plane. Gohan thought it was neat that he was bringing a weapon on his vacation, but then again, he never did go anywhere without it. When they started to get ready, it eventually became a chore, since they could barely keep their hands off each other. It would be a long, long, LONG, six hour flight.

When they did get on the plane, Gohan saw how gingerly Trunks sat down on the chair he was assigned for in first class. He smirked and leaned close to his ear. “A little sore, Tru-chan?” He whispered. He just got Trunks to lean away, smile, and playfully flip him the bird for a response. Gohan chuckled as he adjusted his glasses. Maybe this wouldn't be such a long flight after all.

***

Halfway through the flight Trunks was clinging on to Gohan’s arm, as if he was afraid to let go. Gohan noticed this and asked what was wrong. “It’s nothing, Gohan-chan. I just can’t believe our wedding came and went so fast, that’s all.” He said, while toying with the gold band on his finger.

“Me either, Tru-chan.”

Trunks sighed. “I wish we had your mother’s blessing too.”

Gohan winced. “Ya', me too, Koi.” He had a lot of arguments with his mother about Trunks. She was convinced that he was some kind of whore who tricked and manipulated him into the marriage and nothing he said or did could convince her otherwise. He put on the famous Son grin for Trunks. “Don’t worry, koi. I’m sure she’ll come around sooner or later.” He said without really believing it but Trunks looked up at him with all the trust in the world. He always did believe everything that Gohan said, never doubting that he would tell him anything but the truth or what he truly believed.

***

The flight couldn't have ended sooner, and when it was over they grabbed their bags and were off that plane so fast it made the flight attendants heads spin. Gohan looked outside and was stunned by the beautiful scenery that met his eyes. Trunks smiled, grabbed his hand and led him to the hotel by air. They really need the exercise after being stuck on a plane with nothing to do but watch lousy movies for six hours. Not that they minded the cuddling or anything. They just wanted to get out.

When they got there, Gohan was so glad he let Trunks pick the hotel they were staying at. It was so beautiful with the pure blue ocean in plain sight and the beach in the back. When he looked outside he saw two people having a Jamaican wedding on the beach. With the aisle made up of flowers and torches. Trunks came up behind him, wrapped his arms around his waist and kissed his neck. He looked over Gohan’s shoulder and saw what he was looking at.

“It’s so nice to see two people come together like that.” He said with a smile of remembrance of his own wedding.

“Yes it is.”

Trunks thought for a moment. “Our wedding was a lot better though.”

“Trunks!?!” Gohan scolded as he burst out laughing. Trunks just gave him an innocent look. “I can’t believe you just said that!” He said still trying to suppress his laugh around all the people in the lobby. “That wasn't very nice at all!”

“What? It’s true!”

Gohan just chuckled as he took his koi’s hand and checked into their room. He barely had time to put down the bags he was holding as Trunks began to passionately kiss him. He put a do not disturb sign on the door and shut it before returning his attention back to the bishounen whom he was still lip locked with. Instead of slowly taking off their clothes, as they did the first time, they quickly undressed each other and made their way towards the awaiting bed.

***

They were lying next to each other, taking in the warm glow that surrounded them after their love making and just staring into each other's eyes. Ebony into cerulean. It was strange how such a simple activity could make them feel so good about each other yet still cover them in a full layer of sweat and take away their breath as if it had been a grueling exercise they had just completed. They were like that for a few minutes until Trunks decided to break the silence.

“You want to hear something kind of strange, Gohan?”

“Sure.” He whispered, kissing his forehead.

“Well, it’s just that whenever we do this, it feels really good, y’know?”

Gohan chuckled. “Ya'?”

“It just kind of makes me wonder why I held out on you for so long.”

Gohan burst out laughing right in Trunks’s face and had to hold his aching sides. He found it so funny he began to get tears in his eyes. “Is-is that what you've been lying there thinking about this whole time?” He blurted out, still laughing.

Trunks blushed. “Of course not!”

“Ya', right!!” He said, grabbing him and tickling his ribs.

“GOHAN!! Ahhhahaha…S-stop i-it!!! Hahaha!!!!!”

“Sorry, Tru-chan, but this is too much fun!”

To fight back Trunks grabbed him and tried to put him in a head lock, which he just wiggled out of.

They just wrestled around like that in bed like that until Gohan grabbed his head and told Trunks to stop.

“What’s the matter, Gohan?” Trunks asked, worried that it was something he did.

“Um…Nothing. My head just hurt for a second, that’s all.” He explained, removing his hands.

“Your head hurt?”

“Ya, I must be getting a headache.”

“Oh…Well maybe something to eat will help with that! I’m starving! How about you?”

“Gohan chuckled. “Is all you ever think about food?”

“Yep!”

“Well then we’ll just have to order something then won’t we?”

Trunks smiled, then a memory dawned on him. “Oh, by the way, Gohan, I signed us up for surfing lessons for the day after tomorrow, ok?

He smiled. “Great that sounds like fun!”

They kissed again and continued to wrestle around on the bed.

***

The next day was full of a lot of things that newlyweds do. Like sight seeing, shopping for souvenirs for both themselves and for their families, and the quality time they spent together on the beach. Trunks had somehow managed to pin Gohan underneath him on the sand and they were furiously kissing. They would have made love, if it weren't for the people that started to show up to swim.

Gohan’s lingering headache continued to come and go no matter how many pills he took. And when it did come back it was always worse than before, but because he didn't want to ruin his honeymoon and to continue to let Trunks have his fun, he just acted as if nothing was wrong and sucked up the pain. He really wanted to spend as much time with Trunks as he could and didn't want to get sick and stuck in bed but no matter how hard he tried to will away the pain it just wouldn't leave for good. He couldn't pretend that every little sound made didn't send a ton of bricks at his skull for much longer. Hopefully, he would hold out though.

Ya', right, no such luck. By the next morning he had a full blown migraine and could barely see three feet in front of his face. He also had a terrible cough. Every sound made was like a bullet raging through his brain and the early morning light wasn't helping either. He didn't know what he had but he was definitely sick. Trunks ran around trying to take care of the problem, by closing the blinds, getting some pills for him to take, and a warm cloth to go on his forehead.

“I really thought that saiyans didn't get sick, Gohan.” Trunks said, confused, while adjusting the cloth on Gohan’s forehead. He sat down on a chair next to the bed.

“Well, we are half human too, Trunks.” He explained patiently, after taking his hundredth migraine pill. “We can get sick, just not as often. I remember one time when you were really young, you caught a cold, but I’m not surprised that you can’t remember it.” He suddenly groaned and clutched his head as he rolled over in the sudden pain that went through his skull.

“Gohan!?” Are you all right?!”

“Not so loud, Trunks!” He hissed.

Trunks looked down in shame. “Sorry.”He whispered.

Gohan groaned. He felt awful for making his koi feel bad for just worrying over him. It was such a beautiful day out too. And they were supposed to go surfing together as well. Now he felt really bad. The guy who was supposed to teach them how was only available for today and Trunks paid a lot for him and really wanted to go. That was half the reason they chose a spot with a beach for their honeymoon.

He looked over and squinted at the clock. The lesson would start in less than an hour. He turned back towards Trunks who was still sitting looking down at the ground and whispered to him. “Hey.”

Trunks turned his head towards him. “Ya'?”

“Why don’t you get your swimsuit on and go surfing without me?”

Trunks looked shocked at the suggestion. “But Gohan, I want to go with you.”

Gohan shook his head and smiled at the unnecessary worry being brought on him. “I know how much you want to go so just go. I don’t want to spoil your vacation as well as mine.”

“But, I don’t want to have fun without you. I want to stay here and take care of you.”

Gohan sighed. “Trunks, just listen to me. Go outside, and go surfing.” He didn't realize that he had just given Trunks an order when he said that.

Trunks slowly nodded his head and got up, not making any eye contact with him. Gohan grabbed his hand before he could get far though.

“Listen, I’ll take more of these pills and be outside with you in an hour. Ok? I should be feeling better by then.”

Trunks’s face brightened up. He leaned down and lightly kissed Gohan on the lips. “Fine, but if you're not outside in one hour then I’m coming back in and I don’t care how much it cost to get that guy out there to teach us. Deal?”

Gohan grinned. “Deal.”

Trunks pointed at the watch that Gohan had given him for his eighteenth birthday. “And I’ll be timing you.”

He smiled at his aisuru and ran his hand through his short silk hair, before he left to get changed.

As Trunks was walking out the door with his towel he stalled in the doorway and called out: “I love you Gohan, bye.”

He gave a weak smile. “I love you too, koi.”

As the door shut with a light clink, and Gohan laid his head down and fell into a deep sleep the second his head touched the pillow. All those drowsy migraine pills didn't help him out much when it came to keeping awake.

***

When he woke up next, it was because of a loud banging at the door that just wouldn't go away. Gohan got up and groaned, swearing that whoever was on the other side would get a good beating. He threw on a pair of jeans, looked around and took note of how dark it was, and it sounded like it was raining outside too. ‘SHIT!! I promised Trunks I would go surfing with him!!’ He groaned miserably at the thought of how late it must be came to mind. It didn't feel like he was asleep for all THAT long. ‘I hope he’s not too mad at me.’

Gohan lifted his hand to his head. The migraine had subsided to a dull ache at least. The pounding on the door continued so he shuffled his feet over to get it. ‘Trunks must’ve gone to get something to eat.’ He thought since he wasn't the one answering the door.

He opened the door to see some people wearing the hotel uniforms and a man in a suit. “Gohan Son?” Asked the man in the suit.

“Yes?”

“I am the hotel manager and I have some news that you might want to hear about your husband.”

Gohan’s heart went in his throat. What could’ve happened? And how did these people know they were married? They hadn’t told anyone here that yet. “T-Trunks? What’s the matter? Is he ok? Where is he?” He asked frantically.

“Please. You may want to sit down for this, sir.”

***

That’s how it happened. The hotel manager explained to him how there was a huge storm that just came in out of nowhere and how many tourists were injured or missing or in some cases dead. The storm had let up to just the hard rain that Gohan had woken up to, shortly earlier, and the police and search and rescue teams could only just now go out and try to pick up survivors that were in the water when the storm hit.

The instructor who was with Trunks, was one of the most recent to be rescued. He told the search and rescue teams about how he was with someone and they should find him. Trunks had told the instructor that he was married to a man named Gohan during a conversation they had in the water before the storm hit, and that’s how they knew who he was.

He had also said that when he came above water after a wave had hit during the storm, he saw Trunks unconscious with his head bleeding, clinging to his surf board. They assumed that the bleeding was from the coral under the water. The instructor went to get him, but another huge wave hit, and when he came up again Trunks was nowhere in sight and they still couldn't find him

Gohan just sat there with his mouth open in total shock. He snapped himself out of the trance that he was in long enough to try and focus on his koi’s ki…….. Nothing. There was nothing he could sense anywhere. He checked again……. Nothing again. ‘No. No! NO!! This is impossible! Trunks is strong!! How could a storm, of all things, do this!?!?’

Gohan paid no more attention to the people in his room as he bolted for the door. No one stood in his way as ran outside into the wind and rain and turned into a super saiyan, taking flight, and ignoring the rain drops that were like bullets on his flesh due to the speed he was going at. Maybe there was still hope. Maybe he was just too weak to sense him. That had to be it! It just had to be!

But for every hour that past searching for something that he wouldn't find was like a hundred Majin Buu’s taking a swing at his chest all at the same time. Anymore of it and he would have a heart attack. Every time he stretched his senses and came up with nothing he felt like screaming out his frustrations at any deity who would listen. The noise from the thunder and lightning was phenomenal! He almost got struck by it a couple of times but it didn't matter, only one thing did, and that was finding his beloved.

The sea was dark, black and the damn thing just wouldn't hold still! It just kept moving in giant waves. Gohan wondered how bad the actual storm must’ve been for this to be considered better. It was amazing that he could see at all with the wind and rain in his face.

He was exhausted by the time the sun was coming up the next morning and the rain clouds disappeared. His head was pounding again and it was no longer possible to try and sense Trunks. He barely had enough ki left to keep himself in the air. When he finally made it back, he collapsed to his knees on the beach and let his tears flow. Trunks was dead. He was dead. That was the only explanation for it. He was unconscious and bleeding in the water before he went on his search, so he must be dead.

He wrapped his arms around himself and started to shake uncontrollably. A shadow passed over him and he looked up expecting to see more storm clouds, but was shocked to see his father and Vegeta looking down at him with pity and sadness in their eyes.

“D-dad, I-I can’t find him! I c-can’t sense him!” That was all he could manage to say before passing out from both exhaustion and illness.

When he came too, things weren't any better. His father and Vegeta had sensed him power up all the way from home. They were worried when they didn't sense Trunks with him, so by tracking Gohan’s ki signature, they flew to the island and made it there in time to see Gohan on the beach.

A few days passed and they could still sense nothing. The storm that hit was huge. It spanned all across the ocean and even hit in Mexico, South America, and Hawaii. If Trunks were alive, and by some miracle washed up on one of the nearby islands he would at least raised his ki for them to sense if he were too weak to get back on his own.

There was still hope though, and it was Goku that brought it up. Porunga. Trunks had already been wished back once by Shen Long but the dragon on New-Namek could bring people back as often as he wanted.

When he, Goku, and Vegeta got to New-Namek and summoned the dragon, it told them that the wish couldn't be granted, without telling them why. Goku had to hold back Vegeta from trying to destroy the dragon when he denied the wish. Gohan felt hot tears pour down his face as he fell to his knees and he didn't care who saw them. All he knew was that his life had just ended with the loss of his beautiful koi. There was no more hope left. Trunks was gone. He wished if they could at least have Trunks’s body so that they could give him a proper burial, but the dragon refused them that as well.

Goku told the dragon that in that case they had no wishes, so Porunga went back into the dragon balls and scattered. Gohan wrapped his arms around himself and continued to weep with his head down. It was his fault. He sent him out into the water when he didn't want to go and because of that, Trunks was dead.

He stood up and told Vegeta this. The saiyan prince marched right up to him and backhanded him in the face, screaming that he should not have given an order to his son who was a prince and by right outclassed him. Gohan did nothing to stop Vegeta’s rants. He was right. He had made a vow to never tell Trunks what to do and because he broke that vow he was gone forever.

The Nameks apologized that their dragon balls couldn't help them and wished them a safe journey home. On the journey home, Goku tried to comfort his son but Gohan wasn't listening. All he could think about was that this was all his fault. Vegeta had every right to hate him for what he did because of him, his son was dead. Vegeta may have acted like he didn't care but Gohan knew better.

When they got home several days later it was the worst. Bulma and Bra were waiting for them when they landed, expecting to see Trunks back. When Vegeta and Goku told them that the dragon wouldn't bring him back to life, Bulma collapsed into a fit of sobs and Bra started to cry and scream for her older brother.

Gohan couldn't take it. This was misery that he had caused. It was all his fault. Because of him, Bulma was without her son and Bra was without her big brother. He turned around and flew home as fast as he could, and when he got there he locked himself in the study room that he would have shared with Trunks and started to cry out his sorrow.

Everything that they had both owned was moved to the new house for Trunks’s surprise. The study room had both his and Trunks’s desks in it across from each other with enough room to not be under each others feet.

Their suitcases were in this room put here after Gohan had come back. He got up and started to go through Trunks’s things inside of them on the floor. His scent was still on the clothes. Gohan hugged them to him and let his tears come harder.

It was all his fault. Trunks wanted to stay with him and take care of him like any good mate and he sent him away. He ordered him away. He sent the one he loved to his death. The thing that got to him the most was when he found out that the storm had actually hit a little over an hour after Trunks went outside.

This confirmed his guilt. He said he would be out there with him and he wasn't. If he had just done what he said he would do, and be out there with him then he could have protected him. He would have lived. Trunks was dying while he was sleeping! He was drowning while he was in bed!! Another thing that knocked the wind out of him was when he found out that Trunks and Bulma were working on a way for them to have children. He’d found that in Trunks’s computer. Evidently his koi wanted to surprise him too.

It just wasn't fair. Three and a half days after they were married, he died on their honeymoon too. Just three and a half days. THREE AND A HALF DAYS! Gohan screamed out his anger, self-hatred, and sorrow to Kami for stealing his love. Trunks was too young to die. It shouldn't have happened!! He ended up powering up to a super saiyan two. His body was shaking with his sobs on the ground.

He calmed down enough to see a familiar capsule fall out of one of the pockets of clothing he was holding. Trunks’s sword. He picked up the capsule and popped it open. He un-sheathed it and looked at the shining blade, and he chuckled softly. How ironic that the thing Trunks valued the most would be thing that took Gohan's life.

He got up from the ground and went to sit behind his desk. This was the right thing to do. He didn't deserve to live after what he’d done. The pain he’d caused. He didn't want to live anyway. Not if everyone he would ever love would be stolen from him. He brought up his wrist and steadied the blade. The cut was so clean there was almost no pain at all. Trunks did take good care of this thing after all. The blood poured down his arm quicker than he thought it would. He looked at it, strangely fascinated with it.

Soon he began to get dizzy. The sword he was still holding dropped from his hand and landed with a loud clang on the wooden floor. He let his other arm drop to his side. Blood pouring freely on the floor. Gohan closed his eyes, feeling at peace that he would soon see his koi again in Other World.

When he woke up, he was in a hospital bed in Capsule Corp. Gohan groaned in utter misery. He was still alive. What could be worse than this? He looked down at the bandage on his wrist and ran his fingertips lightly over it.

“Admiring your work?”

He groaned again. That voice. Vegeta. What did he want? “Go away, Vegeta.” He said while turning over in his bed.

“No, you're going to hear what I have to say.”

“I heard all that you have to say on our way back from Namek. You don’t have to worry. You're right! It was my fault. I shouldn't have given your son an order. Happy now? Now go away!” He yelled.

“Hn. First, you think you can order my son, and now you think you can order me. What a strange little world you live in.”

Gohan was getting pissed. Why couldn't he just leave him alone? “Just say what you have to say and go.”

“Alright. First of all, you are an idiot. I specifically told you what would happen if you were to abuse the power you held on my son as the dominant mate. The reason why I didn't go through with it yet was because there was no reason to.”

Gohan looked at him in confusion. Vegeta crossed his arms and continued. “You didn't abuse your power over my son. You were just looking out for his best interests. And it’s not like you could have known that a storm of that size and power would come up.”

Gohan couldn't believe his ears. It sounded like Vegeta was forgiving him! He wasn't saying that it wasn't his fault but he was forgiving him. That was good. If by some act of God, Vegeta were to say that is wasn't his fault, Gohan wouldn't have believed him. Nothing could change his mind when it came down to that!

“And one more thing. Don’t try to kill yourself EVER again!” He said in that royal fashion that demanded to be obeyed. “Why shouldn't I? I want to die!” Gohan spat back. He really did want to die, and why would Vegeta even care if he took his own life?

Vegeta stepped closer. “Think about it you fool. You merely want to die so that you can see my son again in Other World but how do you think he’d feel once you get there that he was the reason you killed yourself? He would WANT you to live. Do NOT put that burden on my son! Have I made myself clear?”

Gohan couldn't believe it. Since when did Vegeta care about the feelings of others? He was right though. He couldn't kill himself. Trunks is exactly the type of person who would blame himself if that were to happen. He couldn't put the hurt he was feeling on his koi but he wanted to be with him so badly. How was he supposed to survive without him? He looked down at the bandage covering the cut on his wrist.”You’ve made yourself clear, Vegeta.” He whispered.

Vegeta turned around and left him alone to his thoughts.

***

A few weeks later the funeral was held. It felt wrong burying an empty casket. But with Trunks’s body not found they had no choice. Gohan looked up at the blue sky. It was a beautiful day out and he hated it to no end. Things this awful shouldn't happen on nice days. His mother never found out about his suicide attempt. Everyone felt that he had enough on his back without having to worry about her pestering him. He could have sworn that he saw a smirk on his mother's face as the casket was lowered as if she had won some kind of argument. When Gohan turned his head again to see if his eyes were playing tricks on him, the smirk was gone.

As time went by, Gohan started to act more like his old self. Not the happy, cheerful Gohan that everyone knew. Just the one who buried himself in his work and continued to let his mother boss him around. He went on a few dates on his mother's insistence and even had a few girlfriends. They would only last a couple of weeks though and he never slept with any of them. He just still felt married.

The longest he’d had a girlfriend for was two months, and that was only because of her lavender hair. Gohan tried to lie to himself, saying that he wasn't with her because her hair reminded him of Trunks. But he eventually broke it off with her after finding out the truth. He didn't want to use her like that. She was a nice girl who deserved someone who would love her and not see another person when she was looked at.

He never dated after that, despite Chi-Chi’s protests. He went home the day he broke up with the woman who reminded him of his koi, found his wedding ring in a dresser and put it back on. To hell with it all. She can get grandchildren out of Goten.

Almost a year later, his mother and Bulma let bygones be bygones and became friends again. This was good, at least Bulma would have someone to speak to.

Soon after he began to have nightmares and wake up in the middle of the night crying and sweating. He was back at Jamaica. Trunks was hanging off the edge of a cliff, trying to pull himself up, crying out for Gohan to help him. Below him was the raging sea with jagged rocks, ready to swallow him when he fell. The storm clouds were in, but there was no rain, only thunder and lightning. Gohan ran to him. For some reason he couldn't fly. With every step he took his legs got heavier and he got slower. Trunks was slowly losing his grip and was about to fall in when Gohan dived and caught his hand. Trunks tells him not to let go and he promises that he won’t, saying that he loves him. Trunks looked up at him with that trustful look. Because his love made him a promise and he always keeps them. Gohan was about to pull him up when Trunks’s hand went right through his. He screamed as he fell and Gohan screamed with him, watching him fall but the dream always ends before he hits the rocks.

It was after his mother found out about these dreams that she insisted he see a psychiatrist. He didn't listen at first but after a year and a half of nagging he gave in. By now it was almost three years after his koi’s death. He would see the psychiatrist and continue to visit Trunks’s grave even though the man said it would be better if he moved on. What an asshole. He pretty much stopped speaking to him after that. He only went and listened to what the moron had to say to keep his mother off of his back. He missed Trunks so much. He missed his beautiful face, his silk hair that he just couldn't help but run his hand through. He even missed his little jokes about his glasses and how old he was.

It didn't matter anymore though. Trunks was gone. He would have to wait many more years for it, but when he did die at least they would be together again, forever. Until then he would have to live whether he wanted it or not.

Present Day:

Most people have early memories of their lives. Like when you’re a kid and you remember your first trip to the beach or something. The first thing he remembered, however, was waking up in a hospital bed in New York City three and a half years ago. He’d been in a coma for about seven months, or so he was told. They guessed his age to be late teens or early twenties. When he looked at himself in a mirror he didn't recognize the face. He had shoulder length lavender hair and blue eyes.

When he asked for an explanation, he was told that a huge storm had hit around the borders of Mexico, South America, all of Jamaica and Hawaii. Many people were killed, especially the tourists. He was found floating on a surf board two days after the storm had hit by a Mexican fishing boat. They brought him to shore and put him in a hospital. It was just a small town he was in called Cozumel. There was no way to identify who he was. After four months and he still didn't wake up and nobody came for him, and with no way to pay the hospital, they were getting ready to give up and pull the plug.

A doctor who worked there, however, called a rich couple in New York who ran many charities. They took him to New York where he continued to sleep for the next three months until he finally woke up, with no memory of who he was or where he came from. The couple who saved him was Lisa and Mark Brandon. The doctor who called them was Dr. Cannavan.

The Brandon’s did all they could to help him find out who he was. All he had to connect him to his past was a gold wedding ring, with an inscription inside. I Will Love You Forever. Who was he married to? No one recognized him in the Mexican Hotels and tourist spots. Other areas were searched, places where tourists were pronounced dead were scratched off the list.

After several months and still nothing came up, the Brandon’s actually put out a T.V. commercial that would be broadcast around the world with his picture on it. Nothing again. He thanked them and told them to stop wasting their money on him. He took their name and the name of the doctor who contacted them and became Brandon Cannavan. It wasn't his name but it was better than John Doe.

The Brandon’s helped him get a place to live and helped him get a job too. He became a police officer and was the best cop anyone had ever seen. He had so much speed and strength that people began to compare him to Mr. Satan himself and even said he should challenge him! Sometimes his strength bothered him though.

It was as if there was more, hidden where he couldn't find it no matter how hard he tried. It made him think that to find his strength was to find his past. But after three and a half years of searching and coming up with nothing, he was just about ready to give up and live his life. Only one thing stopped him. The wedding ring he wore.

Soon he would find out that he was Bi. He noticed this when he would check out girls and the occasional guy too. But their looks had to be really specific for him to even take a second glance at them. Tall, black hair, onyx eyes, and glasses were a plus too. This was just perfect! That could mean that he could be married to a girl or a guy. This wouldn't help to narrow down the search any!

He used to have these strange dreams about himself but the person in the dreams looked different. Blonde, spiky hair, with a golden aura. Shortly after he had these dreams, he dyed his own hair blonde. Maybe if he had a family they would recognize him better like this.

These thoughts continued to haunt his mind on the plane to Satan City. Because it was the home of Hercule, that city had the best SWAT team in the world, and he was moving there to apply. When he got off the plane his first stop would be City Hall, so they can get him on file.

***

Gohan was sitting alone in a diner, looking out the window in a daze. He had no more classes so he came here to think. Apathy had claimed him a long time ago but he still found reasons to torture himself by going to one of his and Trunks’s most frequent hang out spots. He tore holes through his own heart in doing this but he always felt that he had too. As if it would keep his memory alive.

In two days it would be the day that was supposed to be their fourth anniversary. It was supposed to be a happy day but it only brought back memories of things he would never have again. He would do what he always did on that day. He would buy a bouquet of exotic flowers and visit Trunks’s grave. He would get on his knees and kiss the name that was engraved in stone before wrapping his arms around it and shed tears until he was dry. Then he would wallow in a misery that no-one could pull him out of for at least a month.

Gohan fiddled with the gold band, still on his finger. He was so deep in thought his mind barely registered the noisy chatter of the other customers who came and went. He didn't hear the bell on the front door go off when it opened, but he did hear a familiar voice at the counter asking for directions. “Excuse me? But could you tell me how to get to City Hall? I’m a little lost.”

Gohan's eyes went wide. That voice was the perfect match for Trunks. Was Kami really so unforgiving to him, that he would let his mind play such cruel tricks? ‘No. No. No! It can’t be. He’s dead. He’s DEAD!’ Scared to death of what he may or may not see, Gohan's head slowly turned, with his heart in his throat. It shattered into a million pieces and blackness engulfed his soul, however, when he looked at the back of a young man with long blonde hair.

He quickly turned back around and hid his face inside of his one shaking hand and clenched his other fist in anger. He squeezed his eyes shut against the tears threatening to break through. ‘I am SO stupid!! Why can’t I just let him go? WHY!?!?’

“Thank you. Bye.”

As if against his will, Gohan turned around again to get a look at the owner of the voice that stabbed him so roughly in the chest. What he saw almost killed him.

“Hey you, stop!!” He shouted, tears forgotten. Everyone in the diner, including the young man stopped what they were doing and gave him a puzzled look. Gohan ignored their curious stares as he practically ran up to the stranger and looked him over cautiously. The resemblance was uncanny! This man was a little smaller in build, but had the same height as Trunks did.

“Um…Is there something I can help you with, sir?” He asked a little nervously. Gohan snapped himself out of the trance he was in and finally took note of the people staring at him. He blushed deeply embarrassed by his actions. ‘You IDIOT! For God's sake, let it go! It’s not him, no matter how much you might want it to be! He’s dead. Let it go.’

“I’m so very sorry, sir.” He apologized. “It’s just that…you look a lot like…like someone I used to know. I didn't mean any harm or anything. I’m sorry.” Gohan put his head down and walked back to where he was sitting. The attention of the other customers had all gone back to what they were previously talking about. ‘Thank Kami! At least I didn’t embarrass myself too much!’

Gohan kept his head down, just staring at his uneaten cold food. He didn't notice that someone had joined him on the other side of the table. “Excuse me?”

He nearly jumped out of his seat, only to look at the young man he’d embarrassed himself in front of earlier. “What?” He said irritably. He didn't mean to be rude, But he was just in too bad a mood now after what had happened.

“Um…Do you know me?” He asked shyly. ‘What kind of question is that?’ He thought, startled.

“What do you mean?” He asked, eyeing the stranger in front of him who looked like his long dead koi. “I want to know if you know me.” He said again with more determination in his voice.

“Wouldn't that be something you should already know?” He asked.

“Well, no. Actually it wouldn't.”

“I’m sorry, but your confusing me.” Gohan said as he rested one elbow on the table and massaged his temple with his free hand.

The blonde sighed. “Look, I don’t like to talk about it or anything. In fact, it always sounds a little crazy when I explain it.”

“Explain what?” Gohan asked, crossing his arms.

He sighed again and reluctantly gave in. “About three and a half years ago, I woke up from a coma with no memories. They said I was a victim of a hurricane that hit most of the Pacific Ocean and killed many tourists. So when you ran up to me and said that I looked familiar I thought that you might know me. But I guess I wrong. I’m sorry to have bothered you.” He got up from his chair and was about ready to leave until Gohan grabbed his hand. “Wait a minute.”

The blonde looked at him with a mixture of curiosity and hope. Gohan stared into his eyes. ‘The same eyes!’ He thought he was dreaming for a second, this was all too good to be true! The wave of happiness and relief that wanted to engulf him so badly was held back by his own doubt and fear that this could still, in no way be Trunks. It sounded too bazaar to be real. Amnesia? And after all this time to only find him because he lost his way in his own home town? ‘Only one way to know for sure.’ He thought, bracing himself for the disappointment that was sure to come after deciding to check his ki.

He didn't know whether to be disappointed or not. The ki signature was similar but not the same. This ki was more mature and well experienced in life than he knew Trunks’s to be and it was a little weaker too. But it still meant that it could be him. “Well? Do you know me or not?” The young man asked, getting impatient.

Gohan blinked. He didn't know what to tell him. One part of his mind screamed at him to stop being such a child and to let go of the past before he was seriously hurt again. The other part wanted to take this chance so badly. “I think you might be the person I know. He disappeared in the same storm you mentioned but I’m not sure. You look too different.”

The blonde frowned at hearing this. Suddenly his watch beeped. “I, my God I’m late!” He looked back down at him and frowned. “Look, I’m not giving up this easily. If there’s a chance you could know who I am then I want to take it.” He grabbed a napkin and pulled a pen out of his pocket and scribbled something down on it before giving it to him. “That’s the hotel I’m staying at. I’ll be there tomorrow at six. Please show up, I’d really like to continue this discussion.” He said with a begging tone.

Gohan looked up at him and nodded his head slowly, not really having thought about it yet. “Thank you so much! You don’t know what this means to me! I've got to go now before I get into trouble.” The young man beamed at him before running off, looking like he was a kid headed for a carnival.

Gohan looked down, as if in a trance at the paper he was holding. His eyes widened in shock as he looked at the address for the same hotel and the same room as the one he’d shared with Trunks on their wedding night! Gohan put his hand to his forehead and leaned back. He felt as if he would be sick. So much had just happened within a time span of five minutes that the overload of information made him fell ill.

He looked at the paper again. ‘Brandon Cannavan? SHIT! I didn't give him MY name!’ He sighed. ‘Too late now.’ He paid for his meal and decided to go home. He wouldn't tell Bulma or Vegeta about this just yet. What if it really was to good to be true? What was the point of getting their hopes up over his overactive imagination?

Walking down the street, he continued to scold himself for daring to believe that something this good could be true.‘This is so stupid! It’s not him, it’s impossible! I would have known if it was him. I should know.’ He stopped and looked down at the paper he was still holding. ‘I should go. Whether it’s him or not, I should go. I’d regret it later if I didn't and at least I’d be putting his mind at rest about this.’

Gohan sighed and rubbed his forehead. ‘How did this happen?’ He asked himself before continuing on home.

***

The blonde who called himself Brandon, headed back to his hotel after nearly getting laughed out of City Hall for showing up so late, trying to apply for such an important position. ‘This is so stupid! I can’t believe I almost blew my chance at one of the greatest and coolest jobs in world, just to chase after something that won’t ever happen!’ He stopped and looked at his face in a shop window.

‘He said I looked different than the person he used to know.’ He didn't know what it was but something about the stranger who stopped him in the diner intrigued him. It was as if a piece of his memory was cracked open for him to see but he couldn't quite make it out beneath the shadows. ‘He’s kind of cute too.’ He thought, a little blush creeping up on his cheeks. ‘Oh SHIT!! I didn't get his name!!’ He clenched his fists in anger. ‘I am SO stupid! What if he doesn't show up? Then I’ll never know the truth!’

He sighed. ‘Too late to do anything about it now.’ He turned around, getting ready to begin his walk again when a barber shop caught his eye. He took a strand of hair in his fingers and examined it. He’d seen the newspaper clippings of what he looked like when he was pulled on to the fishing boat. Now that he thought about it, it was kind of stupid to change your look if your trying to find a long lost family. Especially because of something he’d seen in a dream that in the long run, means nothing. Smiling, he crossed the street and walked inside.

When he came out about an hour later, his hair was shorter, in a mushroom cut. It was still blonde, but he bought something to wash the dye out at his hotel room. ‘Maybe he’ll recognize me like this. I hope he knows me. I want to stop looking so badly.’ With the thoughts of a family he didn't know running through his head, Brandon headed for his temporary home.

***

Gohan barely slept a wink that night. The silence was enough to drive him mad as he tossed and turned in his bed that felt overly hot. Two things were on his mind. One was the hope that his koi could in fact still be alive and was only a short flight away in Satan City. The other was that he was being foolish. That he was setting himself up for so much pain for allowing himself to be so childish and to have the hope that by some act of God, Trunks was alive and looking for him.

The next day was just as bad. He could hardly keep his mind on the lessons he was teaching and actually had to be told to pay attention by the students! The lack of sleep didn't help him out too much either. Science class just seemed to go by too slow today. After so many hours of this, he excused the class early with no home work. They all cheered for him and left with giant smiles on their faces.

Gohan threw the papers that needed to be graded in his briefcase and flew home, not caring if anyone saw him. When he got there, he showered and changed into something a little more casual. He left his glasses on and double checked to make sure he still had his wedding ring on even though he never took it off. ‘Wait! Wedding ring? That’s it!!’

Gohan never felt so excited in his life. If this were to really be Trunks then he would still have his wedding ring! ‘He was still wearing it when he went out on the beach! This is perfect!’ Then the awful realization hit. ‘He might have lost it in the water. Oh Kami, I hope he has it!’

Gohan had another two hours to wait until six o’clock. In the mean time, he would be doing nothing but preparing himself. For either a giant disappointment that would forever rip his heart out of all hope or the biggest gift any god could ever be merciful enough to grant him.

***

“Goddammit!!” Back at the hotel it was almost six and Brandon spent the last hour and a half trying to get the dye out of his hair. “Comes out in no time, my ass!” He mumbled in a pissed off manner that only someone leaning their head into a tub for almost two hours could pull off.

There was a knock at the door but it was so faint and with the water running, no normal ears would be able to hear it. He turned off the tap and listened for the sound again to confirm if his guest had arrived. At the knocking sound, he thanked Kami for giving him such good hearing but cursed under his breath. His guest was a half hour early, and he didn't really look ready to present himself to anyone. His hair and shoulders were wet and he was wearing a black tank top with baggy black jeans.

He liked wearing these kind of clothes, but they weren't the type that you would want to impress people in. Grumbling, he grabbed a towel and dried off his hair as fast as he could before coming his fingers through it. He quickly looked at himself in the mirror. Most of the dye had come out while he dried it and now it looked it’s natural lavender color. The bathroom was a complete mess.

The knocking sound got louder. “I’m coming!” He shouted, running over to the door, praying to God that he wasn't wasting his time as he swung it open.

***

It felt weird being near this room again. This room. Where Trunks had given himself to Gohan completely, where they had shared their first time together on their wedding night. It was unthinkable to know that in a moment he would be inside and would have to relive all those beautiful memories that made him feel so damn awful.

There was still no answer at the door. He knocked a little harder this time in annoyance. This guy should be grateful that he even showed up! He didn't want to be here in the first place and he never wanted to see this room ever again! At the loud yell that told him that his host was finally going to answer the door, Gohan straightened out his jacket and adjusted his glasses out of habit.

He didn't know what he expected to see when the door in front of him swung open. At the most he expected to see that familiar face with long blonde hair. What he didn't expect was to see Trunks’s face, smiling at him and inviting him in for coffee while apologizing for the place being such a mess. His mouth hung open, he was sure of it. Trunks apologized and excused himself to the bathroom to throw away the towel covering his damp shoulders.

When he was out of the room, Gohan walked like some kind of zombie over to the bed. There was a box of tissues on the drawer next to it. He took off his glasses, grabbed several of the soft sheets and tried to stifle his sobs of joy with a shaking hand while leaning on the dresser. There was no mistaking it. Wedding ring or not, this was Trunks. His koi was alive and he was in this room with him. He looked just like he used to, too.

At the sound of soft foot steps returning, Gohan dried his eyes quickly and threw away the tissues he was holding. Trunks strolled back into the room with a nervous smile on his face. ‘Oh Kami, I can’t believe it’s him! After all this time he was alive and he’s back!’

“Well…do I look like the guy you knew now?” He asked, scratching at his now shortened hair.

Gohan gave a nervous smile of his own before his attention was caught by the small glittering thing on his hand. ‘A ring.’ He thought to himself amazed. He knew that there was a chance that Trunks would have it but didn't think he’d see him wearing it. It would take all the willpower he had not to jump Trunks where he stood and have sex with him. He didn't want to scare his koi though. He wanted him to remember him first.

He looked at his koi, standing less then six reachable feet away from him before he finally answered. “You’re the guy I knew.” He whispered, tears forming in his eyes. “Really?!?! Oh my God!!! This is great!!” He practically shouted, running up to Gohan and pulling him into a giant bear hug. Gohan nervously hugged back. Savoring the feel of having his beautiful prince in his arms once again.

To Gohan's utter disappointment, Trunks pulled out of the hug and pulled him down to sit beside him on the bed. “So then who am I? How old am I?” He asked excitedly.

Gohan cleared his throat. “Have you ever heard of Trunks Vegeta, Briefs?” He shook his head ‘no’. Gohan sighed. “Well then, do you know about Capsule Corp?”

“Capsule Corp? I know what that is. Everywhere has capsules from that place. Why?”

“Trunks Briefs was the president of Capsule Corp. And one of the richest men in the world.” He answered.

“Oh, Ok. What about him?”

Gohan couldn't believe he had to explain this. “You are Trunks Briefs. You’re the owner of Capsule Corp and your twenty-four years old.”

His mouth dropped. “M-my name is Trunks?” Gohan nodded his head. “Oh my, Kami, This is so great!! I can’t believe it! I know my name! I could KISS you!” Trunks threw his arms around Gohan again. ‘You don’t know how much I want you to, koi.’ He thought to himself, a little miserable that he still didn't remember him.

“Oh, I’m so sorry, but I never even got your name back at the diner. I still don’t know who you are.” He said, with a shamed look on him.

Gohan smiled for him. “I’d actually like to see if you could remember that part on your own.” Trunks nodded his head. “I’ll try.” He whispered.”So…do I have a family? Because I know I’m married.” He said pointing at the ring on his finger. “Yes, I know your married.” Gohan said nodding. “And he loves you very much.”

“He?!?” Trunks shouted, a little shocked. Gohan winced. He didn't want Trunks to not love him anymore because of some changes that may have occurred during their four years apart. “Wow…I mean…I always knew there was a chance I’d be married to a guy but I never thought that it would be true!”

Gohan sighed with relief. “So you don’t mind that your married to a man?” He asked a little cautiously. “No, not at all. I actually can’t wait to meet him!” He replied with excitement. ‘You’ll get to sooner than you think, koi.’ He thought.

“Your ring says “I Will Love You Forever” doesn't it?” Trunks looked at him shocked. “H-how do you know that?”

Gohan gave a gentle smile. He slowly leaned closer to Trunks and kissed him softly on the lips. It was like their first kiss all over again. Trunks tensed up but didn't push him away. He soon relaxed into it and began to lightly kiss back. If possible, Gohan's heart went in his throat when he did that. The willpower required to not take things immediately further and just ravish the young demi, was enough to be compared to changing into a super saiyan for the first time. He pulled away, when done, and looked Trunks in the eyes.

He wasn't sure what he saw at first. He looked a little surprised for being kissed, then his face twisted up, as if in anger. Gohan was afraid that Trunks was angry with him for the kiss, but at the sight of thick tears pouring over the edges of his eyes, Gohan held hope that maybe he finally remembered him. His thoughts were confirmed when Trunks choked back a sob and said in a low whisper. “G-Gohan?”

That was his snapping point. He took Trunks’s face in both of his hands and kissed him hard on the mouth, letting all the pain he felt for the past four years melt away into a joy that nothing else could be compared to. Trunks kissed him back, opening his mouth in a silent plea for more. Gohan gladly gave it to him. They continued on like that, each one tasting the others hot tears, until Trunks pulled away.

“Gohan, I’m SO sorry, I never meant to forget you, I swear!” The tears came down his face harder at this point. “I-I’m so sorry! I love you so much!” He wrapped his arms around him in a tight hug, as if he were afraid that Gohan would disappear if he let go and his body racked in sobs.

Gohan couldn't believe his ears. What was he begging for forgiveness for? He didn't do anything wrong. He squeezed his eyes shut and his own tears continued to flow. “Don’t say your sorry, koi. You did nothing wrong! I’m to blame for all of this! I said that I’d be out there with you and I wasn't, I’m so sorry! I love you, too!”

Trunks continued to sob in his shirt. “It’s not your fault, you were sick.” He then groaned as if in shame. “I can’t believe I forgot you!”

Gohan mentally whacked himself in the head for making Trunks feel so guilty. “It doesn't matter. I promised you that I would be with you and because I wasn't, you disappeared. I don’t care if you forgot at all, as long as your with me now.”

Trunks looked up at him and kissed him on the lips passionately. Gohan couldn't believe that this was happening. It explained so much! Porunga wouldn't bring Trunks back to life because he wasn't dead to begin with and they could never find a body because there wasn't one to find. ‘How could I be so stupid?!? I gave up too soon!’ Gohan's thought were interrupted by a breathless whisper.

“Gohan, I want you so bad.” Trunks said between kisses. “Are you sure, koi?” He nodded his head. “Yes, I’m sure. Please, Gohan.” He didn't need to be told twice. They quickly undressed each other and laid down on the bed with Gohan on top.

He ran his hands up Trunks’s ribs and to his arms, causing shivers to run through the lavender haired prince. He missed this reaction so much. He missed everything about him. Gohan thanked any and all deities listening, for this. He took Trunks’s hand into his own, looking at the ring still on his finger before kissing it lovingly. Trunks continued to run his hands up and down Gohan's back and thighs, causing shivers to run through him as well. Gohan quickly prepared Trunks for what was about to come. He couldn't stand the wait any longer. When he entered him in one quick thrust, there appeared to be no pain so he continued on without waiting, moaning low. Trunks panted and moaned in pleasure along with him. At first he went slow, savoring the feel of being inside his koi again. When Trunks moaned out Gohan's name, he sped up and kissed him possessively, silently praying that this wasn't some cruel dream. Trunks soon began to move under him and rocked his hips, forcing him to go even faster. He couldn't help but grin at this. Gohan reached one hand down and stroked Trunks’s length, causing him to almost scream out in pleasure. They moaned loudly now, until they finally howled out their final pleasure and climaxed at the same time. It didn't stop there though. They made love four more times before they could finally go on no longer and collapsed into each others arms. Saiyan stamina was the greatest.

***

Like the first time, Gohan woke up first with the sun in his face. It was a little later though. A glance at the clock told him that it was almost eleven thirty. It was Saturday, so he didn't care that he had slept in. Out of fear that what had happened last night was simply the product of his unforgiving mind, he looked down to make sure that Trunks was with him. He was, holding on to him around the waist with his head resting on his chest like he used to do whenever they slept together. The second he saw his perfect lavender hair, he ran a hand through it like he used to always do out of habit, and then he silently cried, making only soft sobs so as to not disturb his koi. He brought a shaking hand up to his mouth to try and silence himself. ‘It was no dream, it was real!’ He thought, not knowing that Trunks was waking up now. Hearing the sobbing, he looked up to see his mate in tears. “Oh my God, thank you so much for giving him back.”

Trunks was so ashamed of himself. For disappearing and then for forgetting. “I’m sorry, Gohan.” He whispered, ashamed that he caused his koi so much pain.

Gohan looked down to see his mate on the verge of more tears. He pulled him up close so they were at eye level with each other and with his own tears forgotten, he kissed him reassuringly. “Don’t ever apologize. The greatest thing that could ever happen to me was getting you back, and I don’t care if you lost your memory as long as we’ve found each other.”

Trunks looked down in shame. “I don’t remember everything, Gohan.”

He looked shocked. “Y-you don’t?” He shook his head slowly. “What do you remember?” He asked softly, so as to not impose anymore feelings of guilt on him. “Mainly things that involve you. Like…I remember our wedding, and our first kiss and a few other things, but a lot of it’s still fuzzy.”

“Do you remember the day you disappeared?” He asked, a little afraid that he might blame him if he did.

“Yes. I remember that perfectly.” Gohan wasn't sure if he would regret it later or not, but he just had to know what happened. “How did it happen?”

Trunks sighed and shuddered at the memory. “Um…Well I was talking to the instructor and after a while when you didn't come out, I thought I’d go inside to check on you. We were really far out and the storm clouds had already formed. We didn't even see it coming. When the waves started to pick up, we swam faster for the shore. I figured that if it got too bad then I would just grab the instructor and fly back but it wasn't that bad yet and I didn't think it would be the best if I flew around other people without needing too.” Gohan just nodded his head in understanding. That would explain a few things. Like why he didn't use his power to get away. Because the instructor was around and would see him, and that would cause a lot of questions.

Trunks continued. “Out of nowhere a giant wave came crashing into us. It felt like a ton of bricks on my head. The instructor and I were both under the water. He looked like he had a broken leg or something so I grabbed him and swam for the surface. His board was nearby so he grabbed it when we got there before I had a chance to fly away with him. Then another wave hit us, even bigger then the last. I turned towards the shore and called out for you, because you said that you’d be out at around that time, and I thought maybe you would hear me if you were on the beach.” Gohan inwardly groaned. “When I was under the water, I felt dizzy and I couldn't focus my ki. I saw the coral spinning towards me and I smashed my head into it. I felt like I was about to pass out so I swam to the surface as fast as I could. When I got there, I found my board and I grabbed it and dug my fingers into it so I wouldn't let it go when I passed out. Then everything just went black.”

Gohan squeezed Trunks closer to him. Thanking Kami for giving Trunks enough strength to survive out on the water. “Two days later I was picked up by a Mexican fishing boat. I was in a coma and with no way to pay the hospital and no one who came for me, they were getting ready to pull my plug.” Gohan scowled at hearing this. ‘Those bastards!!’ “One of the doctors called a rich couple who ran a lot of charities in America, and they brought me to their hospital until I woke up seven months after the storm.”

“Seven months?!?! You were in a coma for seven months?!?”

Trunks nodded his head. “When I woke up and didn't remember who I was, the Brandons did everything they could to help me find my family. They even put out a worldwide commercial with my picture on it. After that didn't work, they helped me with ID and helped me get a job.”

“Oh, so that’s why you named yourself Brandon?” Trunks nodded. “Where did the name Cannavan come from then?” Trunks sickered. “That was the name of the doctor who contacted them.” “Well thank Kami for people who AREN’T useless!! I can’t believe they were going to kill you!”

“It’s alright now, Gohan.” Trunks said a little shyly. “One thing I can’t figure out though, now that I think about it, would be how I got on the Mexican boarder. Even with floating around for two days, I shouldn't have made it out that far.”

Gohan scowled again. “You probably didn't.” He said in a pissed off tone. Trunks just looked at him curiously. Gohan explained. “There are specific fishing boarders around all countries. That fishing boat was probably out too far when they found you. So to not get arrested for illegal fishing, they most likely just SAID that they found you within their own boarders. That would explain why no one came to us about a missing person.”

Trunks formed a scowl of his own. “Those jerks! So because of their dishonesty, I lost you for four years!” Gohan reached out to caress his cheek. “Don’t be too mad, koi. Whether or not they lied, I still owe them for your life.”

Trunks sighed, knowing that, as usual, Gohan was right. “Trunks, do you remember your family?” He asked carefully, not wanting to make him feel any more guilt if he didn't.

“A little. But a lot of it’s just one big blur.” Gohan smiled. “Bulma, Bra, and Vegeta are going to be so happy that your back.”

“I can’t wait to see them again.” He said wistfully.

Gohan grinned before he remembered something else. “Trunks, Do you remember what day it is today?”

He looked at Gohan thoughtfully, then he started to fiddle with the ring in his finger before a look of recognition crossed his face. “Today’s our anniversary!” He said excitedly. Gohan kissed him deeply. “That it is, koi. Our first anniversary together and I want to keep you for just a few more hours before I call everyone up and give them the good news. OK?”

Trunks smiled with anticipation. “OK.”

Trunks was nervous in the car ride home. It was a long time since he’d last seen Capsule Corp and he was a little nervous. Gohan took his hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. Trunks smiled at him gratefully from the passenger side.

When he told Gohan the reason why he came to Satan City, he nearly choked on his coffee. Gohan found it hard to believe that he became a cop and got a real kick out of seeing his badge! Trunks regretfully called the police station to resign even though Gohan told him that he should continue to do what he loves. But he couldn't stay a cop now that he knew the truth. He would go back to being the Capsule Corp president for his mother. Maybe he could learn to like it.

When they pulled in the driveway, they took note of all the surrounding cars. From the sounds they heard, everyone had gathered in the back yard. “Wait here a minute, Tru-chan. I want to prepare them a bit first.” Trunks nodded his head as he kissed Gohan on the cheek. He then walked off to meet the awaiting crowd.

Gohan walked calmly in the back yard with a giant smile on his face. Everyone stopped talking the second they saw him. No one had seen him so happy since Trunks had died. He couldn't help but smile at his mother. Boy would she be surprised! He then caught sight of Bra. She would be so happy to have her big brother back.

“Hey, son!” Goku called. “So, what’s this all about? You certainly look happy enough.”

Gohan grinned at his father. “Yes, I am and you’ll never guess why!” He said cheerfully.

“What is it, Bro?” Goten asked. “Ya, c’mon Gohan! The suspense is killing us!” Krillin finished.

“I've met someone.” He stated simply. Everyone just went silent. No one had expected that. Vegeta scowled but didn't say anything. Everyone had just assumed that due to his grief, Gohan would most likely never do any serious dating ever again. They were all still happy for him though.

“W-why Gohan! That’s great news!” Bulma said, trying to sound cheerful. She didn't blame him for moving on with his life. Especially after the hell he’d gone through. If anything, he deserved to be happy. It was just a little shock to hear that he’d met someone else.

“You MET someone!?!?” Chi-Chi all but shouted. She was ecstatic. This meant that her son wouldn't die alone! “So, out with it already! Who is she? When do I get to meet her?”

Gohan looked over and stretched out his arm, inviting their mystery guest over.

A giant gasp ran through the entire crowd as Trunks walked casually over and took Gohan's outstretched hand into his, he then looked at all the familiar yet at the same time, strange faces. Bra was the first to snap out of the trance that his presence had put on everyone. “Oniisan!!” She cried out as she ran to him with her arms outstretched. Trunks got down on one knee and met her with a hug. “Oh my Kami, Bra! Look at how big you've gotten! I've missed you so much!”

Everyone, including Vegeta ran up to him to greet him. Bulma started to cry and began to shower her son with kisses. “I can’t believe it’s really you, Trunks! My baby’s come back to me!”

“You owe us one hell of an explanation, boy!” Vegeta barked.

“It’s a long story, Dad.” Trunks said in a low tone, trying to show his father the respect he always did. Vegeta walked up to him and put his hand on his shoulder. “It’s good to have you back, son.”

Trunks couldn't believe his ears. His father just addressed him as his son! A giant smile tugged at his lips. This was what he always wanted! “Thanks Dad.”

A loud screech interrupted the happy gathering, and everyone turned to see Chi-Chi looking like she was about to kill something, march right up to Trunks and scream right in his face. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!?!?! HAVEN’T YOU CAUSED ENOUGH TROUBLE YET??!!”

“Mom please, calm do–”

“SHUT UP, GOTEN!!!!” She turned her attention back to Trunks. In the shock of what she was doing, no one bothered to stop Chi-Chi’s rants. They couldn't believe it. After four years, you’d think she would put her petty prejudices behind her and welcome back a member of the group who up until ten minutes ago was assumed to be dead.

“What did I do, Son-san? Why are you so mad at me?” Gohan gasped. He didn't think that of all things, Trunks wouldn't remember his ranting and raving mother-in-law. “YOU RUINED MY SON’S LIFE, YOU SLUT!!!! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO COME BACK?!?!?!? WHY COULDN'T YOU HAVE JUST STAYED IN AMERICA AND LEFT US ALL ALONE?!?!?!”

Trunks blinked.”H-how did you know that I was in America, Son-san?” He asked a little nervous at her rants. Gohan came and put his arm around Trunks’s shoulder for support. He gave his mother an icy stare before speaking. “Yes, Mom. How did you know that? I haven’t told anyone where he’s been yet.”

Chi-Chi looked around nervously, like she had just been caught doing something wrong. “Boy, what in the hell is going on?” Vegeta asked impatiently. Trunks sighed.”Dad, the reason why I haven’t been around for the past four years was because during the storm I was in, I smashed my head into the coral when I wasn't powered up. The blow caused me to lose my memory and go into a coma for seven months. When I woke up, I was in America and that’s where I've been ever since.” Vegeta and the others nodded their heads in understanding. That would explain why no one could ever sense him. If he lost his memory then he wouldn't know how to focus his ki and that would leave him to be just barely stronger then Hercule. And with the distance there would be no way to sense him if he by chance happened to focus a small amount of his own ki.

“Wasn't there a commercial, with your picture on it, broadcast to help you find us, Trunks?” Gohan asked. “Oh ya! There was!” He said suddenly remembering it. The commercial must have slipped his mind in the nervous ride to Capsule Corp. Everyone turned to give Chi-Chi a disapproving glare. Goku looked at her as if to ask if it were true or not. Vegeta walked up to her and in his most intimidating voice, demanded to know the truth. “Woman, how did you know where my son was? And you had best choose your answers carefully!”

Chi-Chi gulped. Goku went to stand next to her. He may not approve of what she was doing but he still loved her and wouldn't let Vegeta harm her. Gohan and Goten both knew this, so they weren't too worried for her. “Well?” He asked.

Chi-Chi sighed and moved a little closer to Goku for the protection he was offering before puffing up her own chest to try and be intimidating. “I saw that commercial! I saw it here at Capsule Corp when Bulma and I became friends again. She turned on the TV and then left to get some tea. I watched for a minute before I saw his picture.” She gave Trunks another evil glare. He just looked at her as if he was finally starting to remember why she was acting this way. “I didn't want this little whore back ruining my son's life so I changed the channel and turned off the TV.”

“Hey!! I remember that!!” Bulma shouted. “You said that you had a headache and wanted to keep the TV off!” There was steam coming from her ears at this point. “You BITCH!! How dare you?!?! My son was alive and well this whole time and you never told me?!?!”

“Mom, how could you do this?!?!” Gohan screamed.

“I was trying to protect you from him! He manipulated you into marrying him! I don’t know how he did it but he did! You should be with a girl! Because of this whore, you ended up alone and miserable!”

Gohan silently thanked Kami for all the people around. So far it was all of them that kept him from letting loose all of his power in a blind rage and hurting them. If only his mother were present then he wouldn't have fought so hard to keep it under control. He narrowed his eyes at her. “How dare you! HOW DARE YOU!! It was because he disappeared that I ended up miserable! What makes you think that you have the right to interfere in MY life like this?!?!? How could you be so selfish?!? After all of this time, you knew that he was alive but you let us all think that he was dead!! Where do you get off in doing this?!?!”

Gohan was so blinded by a rage that he didn’t see his mother anymore. All he saw was a cruel, manipulative woman who would rather watch people suffer than not get her way. He hated her. Vegeta smirked, highly amused that the little nerd was finally standing up for himself and his mate.

“Gohan, I am your mother! I have every right to worry over you like this! I was just trying to protect you!!”

“GODDAMMIT, DON’T YOU GET IT?!?!?!? I NEARLY KILLED MYSELF BECAUSE HE DISAPPEARED! IS THAT WHAT YOU CALL PROTECTING ME?!?!?!?!”

Both Chi-Chi and Trunks gasped. Gohan continued but his voice was oddly calm and emotionless in comparison to what he was just screaming.”I never want to see you ever again. You're not my mother.” He took Trunks’s hand and led him towards the house. Everyone followed but Bra. She quickly ran back and kicked Chi-Chi in the leg hard! After Chi-Chi howled in pain, Bra ran back to her awaiting father who smiled down at her and called her a good girl.

Goku gave her a disapproving glance before he picked her up and flew home, not looking forward to the argument that was sure to happen.

When they got inside the house, all was explained. How Trunks ended up in America, what he’d been doing, and how he ended up coming back. It was sundown now. Everyone was heading home and they all gave their farewells before leaving. They all shook Trunks’s hand and told him how great it was that he was back. Goten gave him a friendly hug and after a long hug from bra before Bulma put her to bed, Trunks turned to Gohan when they were alone.

“Gohan, were you serious when you said that you almost killed yourself because of me?” He whispered. Gohan looked a little shocked at the question. He didn't think about what he’d said when he said that in front of him. He wanted to make his mother feel guilty not Trunks. Gohan wrapped his arms around his koi in a comforting manner. “That’s not what I meant, aisuru. I wanted my mother to see what an awful thing she did. Nothing that happened was your fault.”

Trunks squeezed him tighter and tried to stifle a sob. “So you did try to kill yourself.” He stated. “I’m so sorry, Go-chan. It’s all my fault! Your mom was right! I made you miserable!” Gohan held him tighter, making shushing sounds. “Don’t listen to what she has to say. I was miserable because I was without you and now that you're back I couldn't be happier.” Gohan tilted Trunks’s head up and kissed him softly on the lips. “Please don’t ever scare me like that again, and don’t ever listen to what that woman has to say. She doesn't control us.” He said soothingly.

Trunks smiled through his tears and nodded his head. He quickly wiped them away when he heard his mother and father coming back though. Bulma tried to get them to stay for the night but Gohan said that he wanted to show Trunks his anniversary gift. Trunks was a little startled at hearing this. ‘When did Gohan have the time to run out and get me something? I was with him all day.’ Bulma knew what he was talking about but tried to get him to show it to him tomorrow anyway. Only with Vegeta insisting that they go and with the two of them promising to visit first thing in the morning would she let them leave.

Trunks hugged his mother before leaving and when no one else but Trunks was looking, Vegeta gave him a real smile. Not a smirk but a smile. Trunks beamed at this before leaving with Gohan.

They flew off together after Gohan decided not to take the car back since they would be coming back in the morning anyway. He suddenly stopped them in mid air and pulled a handkerchief out of his pocket and then wrapped it around Trunks’s eyes. “You’ll need this.” He whispered in his ear which sent shivers down Trunks’s spine. “Gohan, I don’t have anything for you yet.” He said with regret in his voice.

“You being with me right now is my gift, Tru-chan. So don’t worry about it.” He whispered again. Trunks snickered under his blindfold. “How am I supposed to see, Gohan-chan?” He asked playfully. Gohan smiled. “I’ll lead you through the air. You just stay hovering like this and you should be fine.”

“Where are we going?”

“That’s the surprise, koi.”

He then took his koi’s hand and flew with him to the house that he wanted to show him since before they were married. He was so excited he could barely contain it. After about ten minutes of flying they landed lightly on the grass. He then took Trunks’s hand and began to walk forward with him still blindfolded. “Can I look now, Gohan?” Trunks asked getting a little excited himself.

“Not yet, koi.” Gohan said. The moon was so bright tonight that it gave the house a beautiful glow as well as the yard around it. And he wanted to be at the right angle when he took off Trunks’s blindfold.

“Now can I look?”

Gohan stopped. “Yes, you can.” He whispered. He then reached behind his beloved's head and undid the blindfold. When Trunks opened his eyes they went wide with surprise. Gohan spoke. “I bought this house for us when we were married. I wanted it to be a surprise for you when we came back from our honeymoon. Do you like it?”

Trunks’s eyes filled with tears. It was the most beautiful house he’d ever seen. It was a three story house on a hill with trees in the background and a chimney, meaning it had a fireplace inside. There were no other houses around, which meant that it was the perfect spot to relax and not have to worry about people ever seeing them flying around or training. The moon gave it a wonderful glow that highlighted every feature. He turned quickly and grabbed Gohan by the shirt and gave him a scorching kiss before telling him: “I love it!! It’s the greatest house ever, Gohan!”

Gohan smiled wide before picking him up and running excitedly into their home with both of them laughing happily on the way. They made love in their own bedroom in their own house for the first time. It was the greatest. Gohan never felt happier in his entire life than he was at that moment. This was what he always wanted and now that he had it, he swore that he would never let it go.

***

A little over a year had passed since then. Gohan had forgiven his mother to an extent to see her and be a little civilized for special occasions such as birthdays, holidays, and get togethers. She still hated Trunks though. Only now it wasn't enough for her to accuse him of being a slut who tricked her son but now he was a slut who was turning her son against her.

Bulma had so far not forgiven Chi-Chi and she was no longer allowed back at Capsule Corp. Goku, Goten, and King Ox were still welcome because they were good friends. Just not Chi-Chi. This put a bit of a strain on Goku because he would often go there for training with Vegeta or to just have a chat with his childhood friend, and Chi-Chi never liked this. She wouldn't speak to Goku for several hours after he got home and often made his meals horribly as a type of silent punishment. But Goku being Goku never caught on to the hint.

Trunks visited Bra and Bulma often since he first came back and little-by-little the few things that he still didn’t remember came back to him. He was very excited to see his sword again once he recognized it.

Gohan smiled. From the porch he could see his koi off in the distance watching the sunset. He slowly walked out to join him. Their five year anniversary was last week. Gohan grinned at the memory of what his koi had done on that day. They had a romantic candlelight dinner outside under the stars before giving each other their gifts.

When that was done they were about to go back inside until Trunks stopped him. When he told Gohan that he was pregnant the first thing he did was faint dead away only to wake up five or so minutes later to see a grinning lavender haired prince. He knew that Trunks and Bulma had started to work on getting the two of them to have a baby again and he was more than happy to help out. He just didn't think that it would happen so soon.

He came up behind Trunks and put his arms around his shoulders before kissing his neck lovingly. Trunks leaned into him, happy to have the company. He then placed a hand on the barely noticeable bulge on Trunks’s stomach and felt a tiny ki inside, only one month along now.

It made Gohan deathly afraid of the risk they were taking in order to have this child. Obviously because Trunks was a male he couldn't give birth the normal way. So when the time came he would have to fly him on down to Capsule Corp to get a C-section. Trunks was getting weaker by the month and he wouldn't be able to get there on his own when the time came and if he didn't get the C-section both he and the baby could die.

But he WOULDN'T let that happen. He fucked up once and that was enough. This time he would be there for him. Trunks always tried to assure Gohan that everything would be fine because he trusted him to make sure that nothing bad would happen. This gave him some comfort, knowing that his koi still trusted him.

He gently turned Trunks’s head to face him before softly kissing his wonderful full lips. Yes. This time he would keep his word. This time he would be there when he was needed and he would see to it that no harm ever came to his love while he was around. This time he would do things right.
