Gohan still couldn’t believe that the contest was already tomorrow. They had booked a small hotel room in the East City. They had debated the necessity of that, but had agreed that it was better than getting up very early and then flying all the way with their bags. Not to mention that they would have to avoid being seen flying.

Trunks was checking the bag making sure that they hadn’t forgotten anything. Gohan, meanwhile, was half-heartedly entertaining the thoughts of running away at night.

“Listen,” he said, “you sure we won’t embarrass ourselves?”

Trunks shook his head. “We won’t. And, in case we do, didn’t we have tons of fun getting here?”

“Well, we did, except for the disgusting food. I certainly won’t miss it.”

Trunks chuckled. He was still ransacking the bag.

“It’s already been the sixth time that you checked it. Leave it alone and play cards with me.”

“Yeah, give me a minute. I want to make sure we took the oil.”

Gohan rolled his eyes.
