041 : Silent Promise

When Trunks returned to Sons’ house, he found Gohan already in his bed, sleeping. He wondered if Gohan had noticed him missing. He had probably been too upset to notice. Or perhaps he had and just didn’t care.

Trunks approached the sleeping teenager’s bed quietly. He could hear Gohan’s soft, even breathing. Without really thinking about what he would do if Gohan woke up, he sat down on the bed carefully. He didn’t even feel how his hand reached out for Gohan’s face and stroked its side gently. He swore he would return smile to this face.
