169 : Uniting Souls

Both of them had their reservations about the ritual working, even less about it succeeding. Yet, after they had started pouring their energy into the pentagram and the shoelace, the drawing suddenly lit up in bright red color.

“Strawberries at work…” Gohan muttered.

Trunks chuckled. Both of them quieted when the shoelace lit up as well. Then their chests began to glow and a swish of air rose from the floor. While the gusts of wind kept circling them, strange black patterns started appearing on their skin. The black tattoo-like patterns stretched from their left wrists, up to their arms and even down their left shoulders. It didn’t hurt, just itched. Awed, they stared at each other.
