240 : Helping with the Family Business

With autumn came harvest time. In order to support the additional mouth, the Son family had planted more crops than usual. It had also taken much more time to harvest them than it usually did. Gohan and Trunks had helped Goku after school and at weekends. Chichi, meanwhile, hadn’t been able to move around too much, but had not only made certain that the rest of the family got their meals, but had also pickled a mountain of vegetables for winter and for sale. Once most of the harvest had been stored away, Trunks and Goten had showed interest in selling the surplus. Goku had welcomed the initiative. At first, he had kept an eye over the two then, once convinced that they had learned the ropes, left them on their own and returned to the fields to harvest the rest of the crops.
