Preserving the pioneers. Restoring the classics. Creating the next great Saiyan BL works.
What works for me is the generational contrast. The fathers burn with challenge and pride; the sons carry the same primal Saiyan energy, but filtered through trauma and tenderness. Do you read this more as a double SSJ4 power image, or as two different kinds of Saiyan BL intimacy?
Which side pulls you in first: the rivalry of Kakavege, or the wounded tenderness of Truhan?

This image complicates that promise.
Goku and Vegeta wear the form like an argument. They stand so close that intimacy and confrontation become nearly indistinguishable. Their hands meet low between them, but their eyes remain locked in challenge. Nothing about the contact settles the rivalry. It concentrates it. Kakavege does not escape combat here; combat simply becomes capable of holding desire.
Gohan and Future Trunks use the same red fur very differently. Gohan’s arm rests across Trunks’s shoulders without turning him into an opponent, prize, or subordinate. Trunks stays beneath that weight willingly, one hand at his hip, his expression guarded but not defensive. Their closeness does not ask who is stronger. It asks whether either of them can remain standing alone.
That is what makes the doubled composition work for me. SSJ4 reveals no single “true Saiyan nature.” It magnifies whatever already governs the bond.
Between Goku and Vegeta, power becomes friction.
Between Gohan and Trunks, power becomes something sturdy enough to lean against.
Even the tails seem to participate. On the Kakavege side, they arc around two bodies still asserting separate territory. On the Truhan side, they curve through a shared space, less like weapons than lines keeping the pair inside the same frame.
The transformation may make all four men look more primal.
It does not make them love primitively.
