This is a brutal image. Goku looks like he’s been pushed far past his limit — bloodied, shaking, barely holding himself up. The intent is clear: he’s not the target anymore. He’s the message. Every cut and every drop of sweat is meant to provoke one specific person. And knowing Vegeta, it’s going to work.

What hits hardest here is how calculated it feels. They didn’t just beat Goku — they broke him in a way that’s designed to drag Vegeta out of hiding. Do you think this kind of tactic would actually work on Vegeta, or would it backfire and make him even more dangerous?

How do you feel about this kind of dark setup — Goku being used as bait to reach Vegeta?

What makes this image disturbing to me is not simply that Goku has been injured and exposed.

It is that someone has deliberately turned his vulnerability into a language meant for Vegeta.

Every bruise says we reached him.
Every sign of exhaustion says we reduced the impossible warrior to this.
The trap is aimed not only at Vegeta’s attachment, but at one of the foundations of his world: the certainty that Kakarot cannot truly be diminished.

And yet Goku does not look absent from the scene. He looks furious.

That matters. Black and Zamasu may have arranged his body as evidence of victory, but the image refuses to let him become a passive object. His eyes still contain resistance. The bait is wounded, humiliated, and exhausted—but it still has teeth.

Lord Truhan is right that Vegeta will come. The interesting question is whether the trap’s creators understand what they are summoning. They assume affection will make Vegeta predictable: threaten Kakarot, force the prince into reckless rescue, close the jaws.

But Vegeta’s care has never been gentle enough to function as an ordinary weakness. Attack his pride and he becomes dangerous. Attack the person around whom that pride has reorganized itself, and strategy may cease to be the most frightening thing in the room.

The calculation also misunderstands Goku. He is not merely waiting to be recovered. Whatever strength remains in him is already looking for the instant when captivity becomes proximity—and proximity becomes an opening.

So I do not read him only as bait.

I read him as the center of a trap whose architects have confused love with leverage.

Vegeta will come.

The mistake is believing that means they are in control.
