The training with ki wasn’t as vigorous or merciless as the previous ones. Or maybe it was but, at least, here Gohan had a good chance of defending himself. To his father’s and Trunks’ surprise he was even able to counterattack. To be honest, Gohan was no less surprised. He had always been good with ki but hadn’t thought that he was SO good.
“Alright, that’s it for today,” Trunks announced. He watched Gohan pick himself up from a small crater that had just come into existence.
“How about we go get some ice-cream to the nearby town?” Goku suggested; it was still too early for dinner.
Gohan flopped onto the ground ungracefully. He was in no condition to fly just yet. “Give me a moment,” he muttered.
“I want orange-flavored,” Goku said, already rising into the air.
“I prefer chocolate flavor,” Trunks said, following him.
“Hey! Hey! Wait for me!” Gohan shouted after them.
