Gohan was lying on the grass, totally exhausted. He was staring up at the evening sky that had been painted in all shades of orange and purple. Trunks, who was sitting next to him, followed his gaze.
“You just look at that,” he muttered, awed.
“Mmmhm…” Gohan agreed sleepily. He dreaded to think about walking all the way home. “I wish Icarus would fly me back home,” he dreamed out loud.
Trunks chuckled. “I don’t think that tiny dragon pet of yours can even lift you off the ground.”
Gohan sighed. “He can, but only that. Him flying me would probably end up in both of us splattering on the ground.”
“Well, how about I give you a piggyback ride?”
Gohan turned to him. “You would? Really?”
“Sure,” Trunks said, standing up. He lifted his arms to the sides, turning his back to the other teen. “Your taxi is here. Hop on.”
“Ugh,” Gohan said, climbing on, “and how much do you charge?”
Shifting to get a good grip on the other teen, Trunks thought for a moment. “Will come up with something on the way home.”
“How about a kiss?”
“Huh?”
Before Trunks could understand what he was talking about, Gohan’s lips pressed to his shoulder to lightly peck him there. “Thanks for the ride. Thanks for being there for me and thanks for putting up with me.”
Trunks fought his blush down. “Wow, at this rate, I will have to carry you all the way to East Capital.”
“I wouldn’t mind it much, but dinner comes first.”
Trunks chuckled.
