Trunks didn’t win once. He had won a few rounds, but never a game. He wasn’t at all sad as, as promised, Gohan let him choose a movie. After having taken a look at the movie guide, Trunks actually hadn’t been able to decide on one. In the end, he had chosen the longest of all. His choice had made Gohan wonder but, sensibly, he offered no comment. Both of them were having a great time and wanted this day to last as long as possible.

Gohan bought the tickets, but there was still over half an hour left till the start of the movie, thus they went to take a look at the town. In one of the narrow streets they had accidentally wandered into they discovered an antique bookshop. Gohan could never walk past any bookshop without exploring it while antique shops would cast an immensely powerful spell on him. With Trunks in tow, he went in this time as well. Marveling, he wandered inside the bookshop. Meanwhile, Trunks sat down on a couch near the checkout to wait. A few minutes later, however, he remembered Gohan from his timeline telling him that his favorite book was Jules Verne’s Mysterious Island. All it took was five minutes with the shop assistant and two hundred dollars, and Trunks had its very first translation from French in his hands.
