They walked out of the Time Chamber to find that nothing had changed. The Tower looked peaceful. Goku was waiting for them just outside the door. He greeted his son and Trunks cheerfully.

“Just look at you! How you’ve grown,” he said to Gohan. He turned to look at Trunks, who didn’t look like a teenager anymore. All the better. “There’s this tournament in a week and we have to get strong enough to win it.”

Both Gohan and Trunks spoke simultaneously.

“What?”

“What tournament?”
