059 : Pumping Iron

Fully mastering 500G had taken much less time than Gohan had thought it would. Trunks, meanwhile, still didn’t know how Gohan had done it and kept calling it a miracle or…determination. Gohan indeed had a miraculous amount of determination. Trunks had never imagined that Gohan would catch up to him so quickly. He had never pegged Gohan as a competitive type, which he, apparently, was.

From Gohan’s perspective, though, things seemed to be a little different. He did enjoy their competition, indeed. He, however, had mostly been worried about constantly lagging behind while Trunks trained in increasingly higher gravity. He wanted to feel part of a team. And that wish was much stronger than the wish to catch up to his father’s power.
