Chapter 02
Piccolo’s POV:
“TRUNKS!!!!” Krillin and I both heard the cry. I wouldn’t be surprised if the ENTIRE Otherworld could hear it. We felt the energy spike and we both knew what it meant.
“Super Saiyan 3?” Krillin mumbled. “I didn’t even know he had LEARNED that one yet.”
“He’s his father’s son, and one of the few people living on Earth that means anything to him is in grave danger – of course he’d go Super Saiyan 3.” I tell him.
“Yeah.” Krillin responds as we fly to Gohan’s location. “But what would be the point? He can’t do anything for Trunks here…could he?”
“Send him his energy – send him his strength and support. Who knows?” I stop for a second. “Trunks was sent through a portal that ripped through time and space.”
“How do…Kami?”
“Kami.”
“Oh right, today is the day you get a break from each other.”
“One out of every seven keeps us both sane up here.”
“Right, but if you need to go…”
“I can summon his energies to me, and he can summon mine to him.” We arrive to find Gohan just about out of energy and we relax him and give him some of our own to make sure he doesn’t drain his own soul force.
“What on Earth was he thinking?” Krillin asks me.
“He wasn’t.” Kami replied, “You know how he can get when Trunks is involved.” I try not to glare at my counterpart. I know exactly why Gohan did what he did. He would do anything for Trunks – that was their bond and their relationship. Trunks meant everything to him. He was also one of the last of Gohan’s ties to Earth. For him, I know for a fact Gohan would go to Hell and beyond, and back again. He’d give up his own soul if it were required….I shake my head. I feel similar for Gohan, but perhaps not to the same extent he feels for Trunks. I love him as I would a son.
“He will be fine, Gohan.” I tell the unconscious boy.
“How do you know that Piccolo?” Asks Krillin. “No-one knows where he is headed in that thing.”
“Earth.” I reply, “To the reality he assisted if I am right. He will find the help he requires there.”
“Help? What kind of help?”
I think for a moment, and a word comes to my mind. One that makes little sense to me, and as far as I can tell by the look on his face, it doesn’t make sense to Kami either.
“I am not sure.” I tell Krillin. “But it seems to have a…a name.”
“Oh, what is that?”
“Goten.”
